Manual or Sequential Gear

I have also recently bought a G25, and my question is:
Is it better to use Manual or Sequential Gear Box ?

I suspect that manual gear box is a little slower than sequential one ?

Your desire are order for me , so I have modified the graph to add colors.

You will find enclosed the Excel Sheet with the graphics and an Excel Macro to automaticaly create all the graphics for all races.

It works fine for me, If you experiment any troubles with the Macro, tell me.

You have a false contact due to the crash !.
Now you have to try to find where is the false contact.
It can be :
A wire into the serial (DB9) connector;
A pin into the connector;

If it is a pin connector problem, you should see a pin in bad shape.
If no, it is probably a wire connection into the connector....
So you will have to open the wheel, carrefully, note every part you remove and you will probably need to do a welding on a wire.
You can also change the connector, you will found it in every good electronic shop.

Good luck.

hello,

Your brakes are connected to the wheel by a sort of serial cable I think, with a 9 points connexions.

You could have a look to this connection :
Damage pin, damage wire, cable. The worst could be a problem into the wheel on the chipset or electronic device that could be damage by the crash....

Try some tests with your control panel changing the settings, I mean working in one axe for both brake and throttle or 2 axis...

Good luck.

Some simply things that every drivers could use:
  1. Do a first race, let the majority of drivers ahead...
  2. During this race do you possible to run as fast as possible and do you best and stable time, because majority of drivers are ahead normaly you are not going to disturb them.
  3. At the end of this first race look at your time compare it with other drivers. (you can also check their own progression in the CTRA licence)
So after this first race you know :
  1. What is your best time
  2. If you are stable or if your best time is only due to luck !
  3. You know what is the best time of other drivers and you could see were you are.
  4. If you check their licence you know also there levels
So, for the next race:

It makes no sense to try to beat drivers that are at 2 or more seconds faster than you. Let then ahead, try to follow then, it is very helpfull to understand how to drive clean and faster.
Advantage:
You don't disturb better driver than you,
You will be probably cleaner driver
You could benefits of good drivers lesson learn (trying to follow them)

Of course all of that is supplementary "trick" and the rules are to be follow with no discussion possible.

It is easy to see into the licence points that you are playing with racer that are strongest than you. So I think when you race against racer better than you it is logical to let them ahead and to do your possible to respect there level.

In other words it sounds stupid to try to pass a better driver than you especially if after you become a slow down for him !.

Of course unfortunaletly some times even when trying to be as clean as possible, we makes some fault and apologies for that...

We all need to remenber that we love playing all together, so we should try to respect and play in peace !

I know that you are a great diver col , so all other people are going to know that too....

I love you phrase Moose :

People need to calm down a little and just enjoy the racing without going all out with silly moves just to gain a couple of points imo.

Ps : sorry for my english, it looks like my driving ! I do my best but sometimes I fault !....

Beckly and all STCC staff...
I understand very well the level of stress that could give this STCC job.
I think that the most important and what must continue to subsist is the ambiance, amicality bettween drivers and level of quality STCC races have created.

You have created more than an simple sofwtare project but more a style of simulation that have created a sort of better life under simulation :-).

I have found on that STCC server a deep amicality and respect between drivers.

I am sure that you are going to do got job in other projects due to this aspect.

So good luck, hope I could race one day in the STCC server again.
