I'd deffinitely suggest living close to home. Being hundreds of miles away from your family, your home, in a new place with loads of people you don't know is not fun.
I can't stress that enough.
(Especially if you're not living in a halls of residence with loads of other students in the same situation as you.)

Peregrinus uses Simple Machine Forums with a mini-CMS called TinyPortal which effectively goes over the top of it and gives it the appearance and features of a big heavy CMS.

Works well for us!!

Who are we?

We're Peregrinus, a speedy little team who'll always greet you in a server, send you a setup, and race you hard (but fair).
We've been around since December 2005 under the "Ready 4 Racing" banner (quite old in the online world!) and have been "Peregrinus" now since Janurary 2008.


Do we have a site?

We do indeed www.peregrinus.co.uk is where we are stationed.
It's in a little bit of a mess at the moment as we've just had the Stock Cup so there's links and news articles related to that.


Do you have skins?

Yep! UF1, XFG, XRG, LX4, LX6, FXO, XRT, UFR, XFR, FXR, XRR, MRT, FBM, FOX, FO8, and BF1 skins are available. (try saying that when you've had a few drinks )




Do you have setups?

We have a section called "Stormy's Super-Soaraway Setup Section" which currently has a lot of FO8 setups. However this is being branched out into XRR and BF1 setups.

A setup section can easily be made for yourself if you'd like to contribute to the LFS community and the team.

Also the team's just finished running an extremely successful 3rd season of the Stock Cup (previously run by the CRC, and ourselves back in R4R days).

Nope! There's just the 4 of us.

Myself (Kringle), I ran the stock cup and deal with the whole website stuff.
Storm_Cloud, Double OWRL Division A Champion, GFC FO8 Champion, Runner-up OWRL F1 2007, OLFSL Round Winner.
Horrgakx who was in the Stock cup and is also in the OLFSL.
Adam5K1 who was in the GFC and OWRL until his recent house move. (currently away)
and Kristjan.j who was a member of Halfords racing some time ago, and is a tough guy to race against, let alone beat!

League racers! If you're interested in the joy of competing against others and are always striving to improve your driving then you'll be ideal for us.
Also if you're relatively new to LFS but have done sim gaming before then we'd also like to have you on-board!

But most importantly of all is that you're a friendly and helpful kind of LFS'er.

The "application process" is basically join us in servers, and chat with us on the forum. There's no rigid joining system here.
