Quote from Mattesa :Tried it... and...
  • What is up with the understeer!? I'll take it as a default setup issue. Will have to revisit once some setups get made available.
  • The FFB "wheel gets lighter when understeering" thing is way way way over exaggerated. The wheel pretty much goes limp in your hands. That just doesn't happen. 1.03 was much better in that it was a lot more subtle.
  • Did someone mention a 90 degree issue? Well the car does seem difficult to spin beyond 90 degrees. At one point I had the car traveling perpendicular to the road and with the steering neutral, the car slowly rotated back towards straight ahead. It didn't fully straight itself as I ran out of momentum and stopped, however the feeling was that the car changed it's rotational direction (from counterclockwise into the spin, to clockwise out of the spin) on it's own upon reaching 90 degrees.
In summary....
  • I need more time with it with a better setup to evaluate the physics changes. Interface is MUCH better.

I haven't noticed the 90 degree thing, however I will say that the F1600 in the demo isn't pleasant to drive, it's too understeery and even by fiddling with the setups you can't remove the problem entirely. This doesn't happen in the other cars. I noticed that the car is very responsive to tyre temperatures and it takes 2-3 laps to be ready to push.

The FFB thing, are you using exactly the same ffb settings? I've not noticed that problem, might be because I don't turn too much.

Having the F2000 in the demo would have been better as that feels much more exciting. Glad to see people are trying the game and are appreciating it for what it is.

I've been running around on nkp for a few days now and I love it, the F2000 is a wonderful car, having wings on the cars really helps clear that nasty understeer of the F1600.

It's so nice to lock a wheel and actually know what wheel it is that's locked as the force feedback is really very very good.

Progress has been made, more progress to follow i'm sure.

Wrong section of the forum really but it's such a work of art I think it deserves a place in the main forum. Well done! A how-to guide would be fantastic!

I've just stumbled across an image of Massa post-accident.
It looks asthough the crash helmet as almost melted in some way. It gave me a sickening feeling when I watched it on TV. All too familiar to the late Henry.

I strongly recommend you only click on the image if you don't find such images offensive.

You both need to watch your mouths if you still want to be a part of this forum. Because I can guarantee you won't be if you keep posting with such language.

Quote from Bose321 :Not funny at all IMO.
Maybe I'll laugh when I'm not sleepy.

Quote from sgt.flippy :Guess you have to ride lazy horses for it to be funny.

Quote from Velociround :It's not worth trying. I'm not sleepy, and it's still not funny.

Quote from ATC Quicksilver :That brings up an interesting question I have been meaning to ask, how successful would an asymmetrical aero package be, and have there been any extreme examples of it in F1?

Which also includes the old camera's they used to mount on the side of the engine cover/ nose cone in the mid 90's. Surely they upset the balance of the car?

Guys,

Am I right in thinking that this diffuser is non-symmetrical?? Or is my eyes playing tricks on me during these early hours of the morning...
