The FIA appear hell bent on turning the public against them. Now that the threat of a rival series has vanished, they decide they can now do whatever the hell they please. Like cutting wind tunnel times and CFG times for example. Blatently that'll cause damage to the aerodynamics industry, preventing people like myself from going into that career due to the lack of job vacancies.

FIA are most deffinately on a Mclaren witch hunt. I think it's time someone did something about them.

I agree with the above suggestions. I tend to stop trying, usually if you find yourself driving and day dreaming at the same time, you'll be much more steady in your laptimes.
Well it works for me anyway.

If you get stressed, walk away and come back to it later. It's all about being calm.

Quote from the_angry_angel :How is that relevant? The physics, etc. all [probably] get calculated for each vehicle regardless.

eeexactly, so it may well be a possibility after all?!

Would it be possible to create an external program to create the screens? Or would it be exclusively down to LFS.exe to generate?

Quote from dawesdust_12 :I'd be left with a stunning 12 FPS/Viewport at 9 viewports...

Ouch, yep I can see why it would struggle now. Even the option to run just 3 mini screens would be more than fantastic for me.

So LFS doesn't render a track, then store virtually? (I'm not a whizz with how a game works)

Quote from dawesdust_12 :Not even just for Admins. It'd be a fun feature, but due to the way that (as I've been learnt to understand), the LFS GFX engine wouldn't be able to handle it.

So even if you could turn down the features to bare minimum (like square cars), it would still have trouble?

Crash Bandicoot!!! Only because it came with a demo which had the Formula 1 game on it, murray walker screaming "go go go!" will get anyone into racing games.
(season was based on 1995, you could only drive as Damon Hill , I still have the demo! )
Mini Screens Within One LFS Window

Afternoon chaps,

I'd like to suggest a feature to help out us race admins who, if we're watching replays, need to view the behaviour of all of the field.

What would be greatly useful to me, would be the ability to have say, 9 seperate mini windows in the main LFS window, where I can watch 9 seperate cars all driving at the same time.

As it currently stands, when I'm trying to govern a race I'm having to go through a field of say... 20, by watching 4 cars at a time. Then run the replay again and watch the next 4 cars, etc etc. This means I'm having to view a single race replay no less than Five Times! As you can imagine this is "helluva" time consuming and I have better things to do with my time. (honest, i do!)

I don't mean spreading windows over multiple screens as I think someone's suggesting moving dials and times etc onto another screen (like flight sims).

I'm really looking for a way to show 9 mini screens (or more/less than 9) in an lfs window, on one screen. (A bit like a cctv system!)

Am I mad? Or are there others who are crying out for a similar feature?

Regards,

Kringle/ MR_B

Quote from ajp71 :I was honestly a bit apprehensive about Coventry before I came, mainly because I didn't think it offered a masters or sandwich courses. The facilities are certainly very impressive and talking to an Irish guy who was doing his masters whose name I've forgotten was really insightful and definitely changed my mind. I only made the connection with LFS when I saw the workshop

How's your progress coming along? Did you apply here? Will you be joining us on the 25th of September??

Hey guys, I'm asking for a favour...

Does anyone in Liverpool (or the Liverpool area) have a trailer which can transport a car? I ask because Kev(DBP Stoney) and myself (R4R Kringle) are hopefully getting our hands on a Peugeot 405 which has spent most of its days in a garage and needs a good home... (myself). And I need to transport it to Coventry.

This will be a one off situation and being the student that I am, dosh is tight.

I'd also accept a trailer from the coventry/birmingham area as it is en-route...

Thanks in advance,

Kringle/ Brad/ yeah

Quote from FOGlegsy :My old VFR 400 was just under £400 notes TPFT 28yrs old, garaged,

It would cost me more to insure an aprillia RS 125 LOL

Exactly! Which is why it works out cheaper for me to buy and insure a restricted 600 (e.g.Kawasaki ZZR600) than a Honda Varadero 125.

I feel i'll probably go for the BMW F650 Funduro...

Karting circuit websites tend to quote the specifications shown by the manufacturer. Which won't represent the actual speed of the kart because circuits tend to restrict them via the amount of throttle cable movement allowed.
Electric karts will not only be horrendously slow (twin engine 4 strokes aren't particularly amazing) but they'll be very heavy. Try and find a petrol outdoor karting track. (indoor tracks tend to be slippy and slower)

I'm sure there's something up there ^ i'll be confronted about...
