Well there is racing, but its league limited. Only one pickup server and that is multiclass.

Good thing in LFS is this : You can race only vs. 1 car, but if that car similar pace to yours, you're gonna have loads of fun.

I think these days LFS suffers from elitism. New guys can join established leagues, like the ones my team hosts (GTI on thursday and FOX on friday), but you really gotta be good to be able to drive normally there. If you are just learning the ropes, field will just devour you and your motivation will probably fall, just because the difference in pace will be massive.

Every participant has to come onto discord for the qualify session. After qualy there will be short rule recap and then race. No restarts, no postponements.

Only one driver per team can qualify. The driver that qualifies has to start the race.

I would like to know if Fridays downtime was because of DDOS attack or because developers worked on a server.

If it was a DDOS i hope devs made a fix to avoid that happening.

If it was server management by devs, thats sad news. For last 10 years, FOX LFS league has been running every friday at same time. To pick exactly the time of that race to work on a server is, Im sorry to say, silly.

So in case it was server management, i urge developers to share that information with league organizers before server is down, or maybe schedule maintenance when there is no league running. Times of leagues can be seen on LFS calendar easy.

Alot of people want something new new new, all the time something new... and those people, even if they get physics and new tracks, or new cars, will just get bored in a week and demand new content again.

I can pound around Aston in FOX for next 10 years with no problem.

Is this normal? Is it something developers wanted to do, or is it a bug?

We tested it afterwards, and even if a car goes over those kerbs with 5kmh, it jumps up. Same thing happens with 2 or 3 more kerbs in the track.

I think FBM was packed also - or close to it?

Dont know if you are aware, but last 3 days we had full servers - so people couldnt even spectate a race because they couldnt join. Many wanted to race but couldnt because of the 40 car limit.

Its funny - i own AC and dont really play it much. On the instances i did play it i found the field skill level and driving experience shambles.

And as for FBM - yesterday we had MRC KY3 race. You take advantage of high rear grip while sliding in turn 1, turn 2, turn 3 and last turn.

Turn 2 being the most evident, step on brake 50 meters before turn, have your setup that way that just as you want to turn in rear tyres lock a bit, lift off brake and watch the car slide perfectly into a turn while you instantly can go on full throttle having the car in superb position just as it stops sliding with rear.

Its just a bit trickery with brakes and differential.
