Saw a couple of the other events on telly (repeated very early in the morning here in the UK). It looks fast and exciting! I'll keep an eye out for you in the crowd ;-p
I've got 1280 x 1024 for main, 1024 x 768 for 2nd monitor.
I'm curious about these windscreen monitors, how many people use them? They seem like a gimmick to me, for laptop users wanting to watch DVD's.
They might make sense for LFS since they would give a better field of view, without useless top and bottom portions, I don't know
For working on documents, I would prefer a taller monitor to be honest. Maybe I should turn my monitor 90º ?
Hi Pilot, P1LOT here
I previously read the best settings for the Logitech profiler are as shown in the attached picture. It's best to have the Centering Spring Strength to zero - like you wanted - but still Enable Centering Spring force so that games can control it.
Another thumbs up, CrazyICE, this is an excellent program that I use a lot.
It appears after a certain time to lock up, the list will not be updated. I close it and open it again and the correct current list will then be shown. I don't know what sort of time scale we're talking about, it's only when I think 'Hmmm, that hasn't changed in a while'
Maybe it's when I am running LFS as well, with m@t showing on a 2nd monitor, to look out for mates. (Using software firewall)
Yes, this made it awkward to know how we were doing.
It was OK for those that started the race, seemed to happen after a driver change.
For those of us not as good as Vykos that got trapped in the sand (i.e. me), it was necessary to pit and rejoin, where the split-times would show again, until next driver change.
Sounds like our old friend the spiking pot (the potentiometer gives a spikey readout instead of a constant reading). This occasionally might go over your normal 100%, and the game recalibrates itself to account for the new max. Following that, you can't get 100% anymore, hence not full throttle.
DXTweak is one of several additional software utilities available for Logitech wheels, available from www.wingmanteam.com
It's not too advanced inside the pedals, if you want to have a go at fixing it. Lots of problems and solutions for Logitech Momo Racing (Black) at http://web.axelero.hu/mozso/momo_m.html (which probably cover DFP pedal probs also, since they are very similar)
Congrats T7R, I see you've persuaded Hoffmann to join you also
(Saw there was a 'Hoffmann' server last night, ahh just like old times)
Hope you all enjoy a fun time
Yes, mine used to forget the buttons I'd programmed. More common when switching windows alot.
I've since always ensured that LFS is set as persistant profile in the Logitech profiler, no probs then.
(I use 40% ffb in profiler, 50-100% in game depending on car)
If everyone finds their way to the park (or whatever we agree), I'm sure there will be plenty of space in peoples cars to take those without transport to the track.
Given the projected number of people, I can see the awkwardness of finding somewhere to meet up before hand. What about something general like a park? Plenty of space (and hopefully plenty of car spaces) and we can have a kick about or something.
