Quote from Foch_sho :However, if the wings are not written in the LFS Editor, they will not work regardless of their appearance. The LFS Editor has a basic drag and side drag setting. It is set as standard, depending on the type of chassis.

Right, so they need to be written in the LFS editor.

I like driving this mod! Is skin support planned for this car?

So the spoiler and splitter do nothing? It's just for decoration?

You can very easily add the front and rear downforce and then keep the drift setup on 0 degree spoiler angles

Quote from Kid222 :On friday, the car was used in Piranmoto event and the clutch seemed to be made of butter - melted very easily. Could be made more durable perhaps?

The thing is, there really isn't a clutch strength slider in the editor.

I've driven 6+ car races in this car and I haven't heard of a clutch problem in my experience. Definitely recommend lifting off the gas to shift like any normal road car.

I think R4 tires would help this mod a lot.

Vehicle mod: RS1 KENJI RX
Details page: https://www.lfs.net/files/vehmods/DDB6FC

SHORT DESCRIPTION:
Quote :Extreme Rallycross Car

DESCRIPTION:
Quote :
This is based off of the RS1 Kenji from the open source game Speed Dreams.
They have a bunch of models distributed under Free Art License.

Thanks to -verde- for creating a LFS thread about the models!

Very fast rally car built to FUN regulations
2.5 litre flat 4 boosted to 499 bhp. (This is the old engine spec of the Kenji before it was nerfed)
Dry weight of 1270 kg (2800 lbs)
293 W / kg (399 bhp/ton)
H Pattern 6 speed transmission

Two configs: RACE and CUSTOM

RACE is the normal look of the car, but CUSTOM has:
- Rear windows covered with panels to give more sponsor room
- Custom steering wheel
This config is more for me really Big grin

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you aiden096 for the roof light bar.
Thank you Brett (Jake_Blasted) for finishing touches and helping overall.
Thank you martin18 for the engine and sound. 10/10 would would get engine again.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Things left to do:
-Finalize handling
-Try and make this model look as good as possible
-Add more rally inspired skins

I eventually have plans to make the interior better....probably will just take the dash from an LFS car and make some changes to it who knows

One thing I noticed about the car is the very large aero, but there's the lack of any modifications to the car body itself. Makes it look like everything is tacked on Big grin

I DO like the fixed headlights. I think some wider fenders would do great, and a livery on the car would tie everything together.

Quote from Flame CZE :By the way, you can upload a zip file with all the skin templates on this page: https://www.lfs.net/files/vehmods/C6CFD9?skins

Thank you for this, I'm updating the page for that right now.

Quote from NENE87 :Nice job, wrc 380 bhp max and 1190KG, maybe you can make a city car and race car separatly?

I did state in the description that it is slightly above WRC spec.
However, the mod is still in WIP
I'll try out those numbers and see how they feel and decide to update the mod.
Thank you for the spec information.

Sequential 6 speed transmission

Do you have plans on making this car skin mappable?

I'm curious about the downforce of the car. Did you reference real life GT3 cars to get the downforce right?
It seems to have a lot more compared to the stock GTR cars in LFS

Very fun car to drive. Is the steering wheel really that tight for rally cars? Forgive if I am just not in the know but it looks like it is 90 degrees both ways. Big grin

Quote from LakynVonLegendaus :I can't believe I'm defending this mod but I do find it humorous that someone who is suggesting templock to be an official thing in LFS is also complaining about mods being too cartoony. Where is the limit exactly?

I feel like there's a very clear line to be drawn here but go off

Two different things completely
maybe if the suspension didn't break after 5 seconds of driving I wouldn't be as critical of it Smile

This could actually be so hot with a few tire sizing changes. Instead of 225/40/17 it would be better with 225/20/18s. Tire wall should be less than what it is now.

Please DO NOT post suggestions for the VEHICLE EDITOR or the MODELLER in this thread.

Original post by PopnLochNessMonster:

One thing I noticed with mods is that they do not keep the last color used.
I will choose a color on one mod, switch to a different mod, come back to the first car and it is back to the default color.

The default LFS cars keep the last color you used with your driver name, but the mod cars do not.
