All of the footage was recorded by me.

Oh so now you drove the car and recorded at the same time?

Seems legit.

Quote from Klutch :Went street drifting in a mates r31 tonight since it was raining.

Came out of an industrial area and went for one last corner, got it sideways, went into a manji, T intersection coming up, house on left (corner house) of t intersection, frontwheels somehow lost grip, and we started sliding towards the house, tapped the brake straightened the wheels and then yanked the handbrake and steered to the right and swung it back around the other way back towards the road. Came milimetres from ending up in the guys front lawn/house.

we then did donuts at the intersection and left in a victorious fashion of limiter bash creeping down the street sideways.

after that we called it a night

ONLY IN THE LIFE OF KLUTCH. STAY TUNED.

Cool story bro.

This is Post your Car, not Post your made up action movie car drifting.

Seriously, you tell a story so detailed as if you just made it up now.

Quote from DoC_uk :All regular racers know that the cruise scene is riddled with cheats and hacks .. leave em to it , they won't last 2 mins on a well admined race server

From my couple of years of running a cruise server, I have never seen any hacks used online, so your statement is completely invalid.

Cruisers don't need speedhacks to play. Racers might need speedhacks to win a race.

And yet you blame the cruisers?

Indeed.

I'm not sure how can somebody come to a conclusion without proof, but I have a similar story to share.

While I was running LsC on a dedicated server, our server started to crash at times when the server was busy. It seemed like a DDOS attack so I began to search for clues.

Anyway so I waited till the weekend and decided to log onto Remote Desktop on the dedicated machine and I was watching the network usage in Task Manager. I noticed that it spiked up from about 5% to 99% at random times, so I started the firewall system on the Windows OS and began looking at IP addresses connected via TCP.

I found the IP address that was causing the DDOS. It turned out that it was a cruiser who later contacted me to say that I better refund him some cash and cars or else this problem wouldn't stop.

I ended up blocking all IP addresses from his country and the attacks stop.

My point is, how could you possibly trace something like this back to WKD? I doubt Beaver or anyone related to WKD would be dumb enough to cause such an attack from a VPS server which they rented from a company, to whom they gave their personal details like address, telephone, credit card details/PayPal.

It's probably just something else causing it and I think you should look into it rather than go and blame someone for something. An easy thing would be to try and find out the attacker's IP and contact their ISP. Usually by typing an IP in Google you can find the email to be used to report abuse.

I think there's no need to point at people without any relevant evidence to support your words.

Quote from hazaky :Edit: That facebook.com/liveforspeed is full of car mod pictures. Not sure if I want to be a part of it.

That's because fans of the page post those pictures.

Personally they don't bother me. It's an unofficial Live For Speed fan page after all...

It's nice to see a good drift server back. The layouts are always original and new! Good luck!

I hope to come to play on it for longer once I have the time to take my wheel out.

In any case, Mr. Milkman, you'd be at the top of my "to do" list if I was ever to experience a "Last Action Hero" moment and find myself within the movie world.

Now, please go away before I make it my life's mission to harvest most of your organs and subsequently buy ~1250 S2 vouchers from the black market organ sales profits and wholeheartedly post them in a thread here.

Thanks DarkTimes for that fix.

I've set my time-out value to 30ms (0.03) which is the smallest interval I'll be using for my plugin.

I've tried it with a 0.01 value and it also seems to run fine, so everything seems good!

Dygear, what value will you be using in the next PRISM release (IF you use it)?

After reading the main PRISM php file, I checked the while loop and it seems that the while loop itself takes 1 second to process so I cannot use a timer that is a smaller interval.

Checking the difference between microtime at the start and end of the while loop shows that it takes 1 second.

I made 2 while loops (1 separate for the timers) and then realised both of them wouldn't run because one has to end before the next one begins...

I guess a solution would be to run it on a new thread which isn't possible on PHP afaik?
