Wrong. Some countries has as a law that you must have lights on in the day too. And 2 squares popping a bit out of the hood will probably not harm much on a road car if at all.

I noticed that too, and you're right. Brake light should be same brightness when taillight is turned on and off.

Something like Volvo XC70 or Volvo S60/S80 T5 AWD. I know it might be similar to the FXO, but i wouldnt mind seing an AWD 5 cylinder though.
