If its the right transmission you use for racing, its not something that matters. If you compare H-shifter and real auto-transmission, then auto transmission will be shifting gears faster... DSG would of do it even faster

A normal auto transmission will almost reach the redline if you floor it fully (like if it was manual or sequentiel racing), ofcourse if you doesnt press pedal to the metal, it will act cruise-like. I have seen Fifth Gear and Topgear do racing tests with auto transmission cars

Dont want to go OT, but anyway. There is nothing with Citroen (well its a good car) if you look more close in the text, i also wrote Peugeot and Toyota... Its just the sound i like, nothing else right there, although i like Peugeot and Citroen cars

I hope you can convert that lx6 v8 to XFG, Gills I tried myself to just copy the Shift+A menu details to XFG but, oh my god it sounds wierd... It sounds more like a insane diesel powered engine or something lol

I found a good FOV short time ago...

Widescreen: 22" - 1152 x 864 pixels
FOV: 84
Wheel: Logitech G25

With virtual steering wheel off + driver off and adjusting so you are "sitting" highest as possible in the cockpit, you get a good feel with the car, speed etc... I have planted my Samsung 22" screen close up to the G25 so when i look down at the virtual speedo, its the G25 its located behind and not a virtual steering wheel... Pretty realistic
