Thise men three didst come,
Clep't Scavier as companie
An' that they could in summe
Mak for their sym to runne seemlie
Didst then fashion divers carres
And alle yn their array fulle faire
Cumme each to laye rubere upon the tar
And plotte each to mak the other kerf the aire
Welle thro that cite sooth have I runne
Welle have I trodde that ferny track of greene
Whether under cloude or sunne
I do trow each ynche of it I ween
And yet more grounde do I espy
The eastern ringe, the westren fielde
I fulle delight yn each discoverie
and yn each darting wheele that I do weelde
And soe stoute Scawen takke tho thy code
Do yt welle that yt might welle compyle
Aroint each bugge and I do trow wee would
Yet tarry and bee contente for a while.
I've found that the F08 is a lot less nervous since the physics patch and it wasn't that undrivable before the patch. I find it a really solid pleasant thing to drive these days, especially compared to the BF1 but with enough power to make it more interesting than the FOX. Incidentally, the FOX is a great car once you start trying to drive it really fast. It's easy to drive at nine tenths but getting that extra tenth required to play with the big boys takes real finesse.
I've tried downloading this a few times. The weird thing is that I get the initial title screen so I've got the codec for it but once the title screen fades all I get is the sound.
+1 for the skinnable face for all the same reasons that see-though windows on the cars was a good idea. Plus, it's one thing to customise, which is an aspect of the game I've always found fun.
And along similar lines, assymetric tyre compound setups (hard on one side of car, soft on the other) and for the open wheel cars, speedway type wings so that zero wing isn't the fastest setup. I know not everyone races oval (and to be honest, I don't much) but this would make it more interesting.
I'd say bring the tyre grip back on par with the other TBOs and shift the weight bias forwards with the FXO and for the FZR...it's got MORE torque than the turbo cars! Bring that back to par and maybe make it a good bit peakier. An engine that revs to 9000rpm should be a bit piggish down low, even with VVT
Well the LX6 was distinctly squirrelly in S1. It's a bit of a pussycat in S2 and I can't really see the LX8 being much more terrifying than the S1 LX6. Personally, I'd love to see it. Those who find a car which won't take being floored in first gear a bit too challenging can leave it in the garage, but I'll fang it with pleasure.
Do the front wheels turn more slowly under heavy understeer? If they do and the difference between the front and back wheel speed is what triggers the TC, then that could explain it.
Yep, they're directional. I just threw the BF1 into a smoking spin at speed and watched the replay with forces. The downforce goes to zero at a 90° slide.
Although I've not really been inclined to criticise the sound in the past, the F1 sound is a bit disappointing. It lacks that sort of sine-wavey shriek that makes them so spine tingling.
F08 is up 5-10kph and much less inclined to spin up the back wheels. The BF1 is a treat at this track too...it really is a GP track (banked section not withstanding).
I don't know if this is really a bug, but I got a drivethrough penalty for speeding with the limiter turned on in the BF1. TC was off and I think I had wheelspin at the time.
I loved the 'ring in GPL and Racer has a ported version as well...the good thing about that is that you get to try it in a variety of different cars. I'd love to see it in LFS.
There are a few little refinements to a lot of them and they look higher poly in some areas too. I've got a couple of little hiccoughs with my skins, especially the XRR and FXR but nothing serious.
Gallardo is more GTR than F08 though. Can you imagine what would happen if you tried to chase a full size and weight road car in an open wheeled formula car? You'd catch it quickly enough, but if they suddenly move over and squeeze you into the gutter, it's game over.
This is a skin I did ages ago for S1. It's only a quick port over to S2 so it's not anywhere near as clean as the original. (lost the psd file in a HDD crash and had to reconstruct from the skin itself)
