I was wondering... did somebody make up the names for the corners (like Sahara Corner)?
I always find it hard to describe what turn I mean.. would be great if all corners had a name

Pressing shift S to be able to get on the grid at all would be a good idea too. But then it needs to be changed. Now, if half of the drivers press shift S the race starts, that means that the other half automatically go on the grid.
Pressing shift S to start _at all_ would be a good idea, that's almost the same as a seperate "confirm" button.

I had this message today for the first time, on the Redline Aston Club FOX server.
Only thing I changed was set the save replay to automatically. Could that be the cause?

I have plenty of HD space, and 2 Gb memory.

Angry Angle, I agree, that's what I ususally do.
But I agree with Gentlefoot, lots DONT and cause mayhem at start.

Maybe turn it around.. restart automatically at winners time plus 10 %. If you havent clicked "join", you wont be put on the start grid.

Make it optional, so that the server admin can decide wether to use it or not.

Havent seen it here, maybe it's been discussed in the past, but i'm sure somebody will point me in the right direction then...

Make a button that you have to press so that you confirm that you are ready to start.

Lots of times when a race starts somebody is just getting coffee, had an urge to use the bathroom, was picking his nose and had to get a tissue.. whatever.
But when enough people voted to restart, his car is being put on the start grid.

Maybe make a button that you have to press before the lights go from red to green. If you dont press ready, you get pitted...

It gives me some usefull information, I dont feel that alone when i'm driving somewhere in the middle with a 10 second gap in front to the really good racers, and the 20 second gap behind me with the noobs, the crashers, the talkers/cursers and, most important, it's much better then my mate on Ventrillo, who's either cursing everybody that comes within range, or even worse, humming tunes when he's doing OK...

No, he paid only 5 euros. I hope for him it looks good on the wall, because he hasnt got it working yet, so it might even be broken..

Compared to at least 75 % of the world, we all are upper class. We can write, we have a PC, and thus a home, and enough money to buy food and clothes, and we even can buy a LFS license. So we are all rich.

Basically
Working class = working at McDonalds/other low paying hourly jobs
Lower Middle Class = Working in a factory or something
Upper Middle Class = Middle management at an office or something
Upper Class = C.E.O. or some other executive of a big company

And I know he is just doing his schoolwork. But if he asks me to classify myself, and I dont know where the one class stops and the other starts, I could have voted Upper Class, because I consider myself a very good person. But I would have ruined his poll, coz that was not what he meant.
Maybe there should be an option: "I dont know" or: I'm not English, so im not familiar with the English system"

I'm trying a friend to try LFS. I told him that he would need a wheel.
Now he bought one secondhand. He doesnt know what it is and Windows doesnt recognize it.
He sent me a pic of it.
Does anybody know what wheel this is?

Well, it does matter.. because in the demo you can only use 3 cars.
And the others wont see it unless they have downloaded it themselves

Still a hit on LAN parties, especially the CTF games

the way I practise a new car or track is: just join a server, pick a car and then drive carfully, keeping an eye on the minimap so I'm sure I wont be in the way of the more experienced racers. (shift S if you mess up and you'll return to the pits)
When a new race starts, I get out of the way, because all the others are probably better then I am. Dont wait for them to pass, but accellerate like all the others do, and THEN drive on the utmost left or right side and lift. If you just wait at the start some of the others will run into you.
After a few races Ill ask if I can try somebodies setup. Usually I get 1 or 2, and try them for a few races.

Dont expect to win the first few days.. that takes a lot longer
