Right, I guess I should've googled it. Yes the gun shops are still in business because they are selling ammo. But they cannot seem to get enough in to really spread it around.. I'm just wondering why they say "we had it but... It's all gone now". I've went 15 minutes after they've opened and didn't manage to get anything... I even went to walmart at 6 in the morning and waited for them to stock.

I've got plenty of ammo and every now and then i'll find a box of 50 or 25, I actually got a case of 500 rounds of .45 ACP for 245 dollars... i'll pay two or three times as much for it... If I can get it. I haven't had much luck with 9mm Luger, 9mm largo, .40 S&W, .223 or .357 sig ( they do have magnum alot of times, so it's a good buy ).

Walmart seems to have alot of shotgun shells, i've noticed.

Has anyone noticed it? I can't seem to find any bulks or cases.

Any ideas what happened or when it might go back to normal?

I hate liars, people who are stuck up, people who use their muscles to intimidate you, cheaters, professional bums (con artists) whatever you prefer, theives, muggers, and difficult, teeth pulling people... oh and complainers.

I already downloaded newest NVidia drivers and DirectX, but haven't yet bothered to install because I doubt it will have an real effect and been playing other games. Current Nvidia driver is 182.08.

In NVidia control panel I have made own profile for ArmA 2. It lets the game decide the AA & AF settings. Vsync is forced off. Maximum pre-rendered frames is set to zero. Negative LOD bias is clamp. Texture filtering quality is at performance.

Currently the settings in-game are medium, with the exeption of AA as high and post processing effects at low or disabled, can't remember wich. Resolution is 1400x1050 (my screen's native resolution). I also tried to lower the resolution but didn't really have an effect.
At low settings it still isn't that good performance wise, but it also looks so horrid that I can't stand to look at it.

That's pretty much all info I can think about writing down currently.

Try the nvidia 180.84 32-bit XP, set your pre-rendered frames to 3. and set your texture filtering quality to high quality.

My setup -

8800GT 512mb (volt modded)
E6600 clocked to 3.3ghz
2 gigs of ram
Windows XP 32 bit


I run the game at 1152 x 864 all settings on high, 8x AF, 2x AA. Running anywhere between 25-45 FPS.

You seem to care a great deal about the game, for someone that posts several times in the thread. Your posts makes up a large percentage of this thread.

To me... your problems seem like operater error to me. If you would gladly post your problems with what you have tried and haven't... I'd gladly help.
Post your system down to the last detail, such as driver, operating system and etc..

I noticed a somewhat difference between low and high settings on the graphics. I didn't notice that if you put "other player models" in the game there was a massive FPS drop.

Another pointer, turn FRAPS off... try playing the game by visuals see if it's unplayable.... just because it drops to 20 fps doesn't mean the game is rendered unplayable.

I downloaded it off of steam, love it.

Downloading it from steam works well.

Compose the test of certain skills and knowledge needed for racing?
If the test is failed then maybe take the driving lessons.

I never actually cared for the lessons, but I wouldn't take a simple test to prove i'm worthy enough to race online. Why complete courses or lessons (whichever you prefer to call them)?

Surely, you can't actually think taking a test is a good idea also... I'm against the lessons and anything else that wastes my time.

geeman1, it's called perfecting the lessons... people just study and pass the tests and race the way they want or see fit. Doesn't do a single thing but waste perfectly good time.

GT5 vs LFS is really a non-debate. I think GT5 vs Forza 3 is more reasonable. I used to love the GT series but after playing Forza 2 I was converted. The physics, damage, and sounds of Forza 2 blew me away. It seems Polyphony loves their eye candy because it sells. They never really talk about the 'sim side' only how pretty the game is.

Recently in an interview Turn-10 said, "The game [Forza 3] delivers these astonishing realistic graphics while calculating physics at 360 times per a second." That's impressive for a lil console, imo. Cars in GT5 can't even roll over, I'd say that's a big hole in the physics.
