Oooook.

Hopefully, some of you guys who did the 500, or at least attempted to qualify will continue with the FO8 racing, and move forward with the LFSCART series!

Next round is in two weeks (Saturday 10th July) I think we can agree the races so far have been excellent, particularly FE4 keep it up! Makes for some great racing, and a great broadcast with the assistance of the admin team, and the edge of your seat commentary with Wilks and CSF.

However, who can stop Seb? :| If not for the double points at Kyoto, maybe we'd still be in reach.

@Mike: Wow, I got told that was a lag crash, but looking at that replay, I'm totally at fault.. :/ I'm really sorry for that collision, I have no idea what I was doing, I really shouldn't have been in that race after 120~ laps and caused two collisions in a short space of time, so sorry for that, and I totally deserve a penalty for ruining your race and hurting your championship.

But you don't need to hear that...

Sorry to people who I may appear to have brake-tested, I could do nothing about my brake pedal, as I arrived late, I didn't have time to calibrate my wheel, and the axis were all wrong.

Sorry to Seb as well, it is not in my intentions to cause a collision or risk anything against my team-mate, if it appears that way, but I felt I did nothing different in the kink, it all happened too quickly, and my concentration was gone after half-distance. Still, anything I say doesn't make up for dropped constructors points.

Moving onto the 500...

Quote from Drift King CZ :This thread shows how world is cruel.

Sad, but true.

Seems some of these forum trolls spend 100x more time on the forum than on LFS and real life combined... I think this thread is done now, nothing needs to be said.

Quote from GreyBull [CHA] :Sorry for the rage quit, I litterally couldn't stand being kicked out of the lad lap. Of course I regretted that a few minutes later...

Seems like I lost all my patience.

Sorry that I accelerated away Yann. But I was already surrounded by Tigers everywhere, with almost no support. I hope you understand why I did that, but perhaps it was unsporting of me to carry on.

Anyway, this race was frustrating for me because of a brake problem that popped up occasionally when I used full throttle, which is why I sucked on some restarts. :| It was like having engine damage, and it's not fun to be driving like this, but I had no problems in the last five laps, so Seb won that on merit, despite rolling twice. In the press conference, I said I was looking forward to the 500, now I'm not so sure...

Never mind, enough moaning, and there was some good racing today, that's all that matters.

Good race, but yet again, I benefit from other peoples fails. Still, best race of the season for me, I actually overtook a few cars in the race too, makes a change. But was half a second slower than Seb all race, and only at the end did I realise where I lost time. :|

Only time I'll lead a championship, ever. :| Good racing!

Quote from Ori :- Thanks to 18 S. Cattel for not leaving enough space in lap 11 at the chicane and ruining my race.

Two cars don't fit through the chicane, you should know that.

I was doing 2:06's at the time, and considering you didn't set a 2:09 until the end of the race, you were holding me up a lot, I needed to pass ASAP. Nevertheless, I left room, even taking the corner very slowly, ruining my own line to give as much as space for you as possible.

Meh, in the end, it was a good race, I just got lucky that other people lost connection or got crashed into, again.

Tbh, I think this rule adds a totally new element to endurance racing. Don't forget, this is an amateur league, almost a feeder towards true, unrestricted endurance racing amongst the fastest drivers in the world, this just encourages competition, IMO. At least with rules like this, it's not the end of the world if you're at the end result of a pile-up, which will actually encourage teams to continue racing, rather than giving up when 2-3 laps down. It's hard for the big teams to have a huge lead wiped out by a SC, of course, but in contrast, it's a great test of skill to discipline yourself, and manage safety cars, and other disadvantages during the races to succeed, you don't really find this anywhere else, as far as I know, and I'd love it to stay in the rules.

Congratulations to E-Team and 7Karat for this amazing season! We tried our best, but it wasn't enough in the end, but back-to-back championships are a great achievement for E-Team, so well done.

Now give the rest of us a chance.

ooooh teh drama in this thread, let's all show an interest

Anyway, the commentary, stream and administration were all magnificent, my rare positive attitude being blatantly uninfluenced by the resulting in my best ever LFS finish, seriously, thumbs up I hope things can continue like this for FE4.

Quote from ivantod :Lap/Timecode/Session: start of the race, first green flag
Cars involved 34 & 04
Brief description of incident

#34 overtake #04 before green flag on start.

Indeed, #04 was quite slow to accelerate, even though the green flag was released. However, I lifted to allow #04 past again, I can't really compromise my race because other drivers won't accelerate when they're supposed to.
