As title says: I moved the whole LFS folder to another drive, but now .mpr, .spr and other LFS files are no longer associated with the program.
I tried changing associtation directly on a .mpr file (as attached photo LFS 1 shows), but nothing happens when I click "open" (as photo LFS 2 shows).
I'm on Win7 home eddition, anyone has a clue how to solve this?
I think the Top Gear as such is done. It might happen that three of them move to another TV channel and do something similar, which will be called Sixth Gear or something.
They should also get rid of the Stig and finally put face on the racer. It became a lame feature once Ben Collins revealed his identity and we also found out who the first, the black Stig, was, so no reason to push for mystery there any more.
Tnx Dave & guys for all of your time, money and energy you spent on this incredible project. It was pleasure to be one of the participants, I enjoyed it very, very, very much.
To cut a veeery long story short: it was planned to be released, but then devs found out it wasn't handling properly, so they finally ended up with creating a totally new tire physics. https://www.lfs.net/forum/post/1863422#post1863422
LFS has been started by three enthusiastic people some 12 years a go.... 12 years a go!!! (maybe even earlier).
12 years a go we were all much, much younger and IT technologies were at a ridiculously lower level than they are today. The World has changed a lot in those 12 years too... Many of us, including the devs, have started our own families, introducing new, everyday duties that we did not have at the "beginning of time"
As much as I am grateful for not making a simple "product" out of it, but a sim worth spending hours and hours every day of our lives for ONLY freaking 24 GBP for all that time (and insisting on software being playable on slower machines), I can't shake off the feeling that it can even be better than that...
Some (if not many) people who complain here about slow development are actually enthusiast who simply love LFS for all that it is and really want to see it progresses. This is an actual appeal to Scawen to reconsider the plan of how it's done rather than what should be done.
I really do LOVE this game/sim and I really hate seeing it loses pace with time. Please, don't let it just fade away...
