Thanks for a swift reply. He is behind a router, he is unsure about the details as he can't access it and as I am not able to access I can't provide much information, Should I try and get him to change security settings forward certain ports? Sorry I don't know much about them as I was barely able to set up my home network lol

Hey, I am asking this on behalf of a friend so sorry if the desciption of the problem is not perfect.

Well he bought S2 today, he managed to unlock it fine, he can play single player but everytime he goes online he connects to the master server but when it reaches loading textures he gets a network error in the top of the screen something like NOTSOCK then he gets "Can't get track info" error message.

He has disabled his firewall and still gets this. He also can't do a tracert on the master server.

If anyone could help this would be fantastic. Help a new S2 racer play the best game ever

All these servers are S2 and I hope you guys enjoy playing in them!

I'm too scared to tamper with my pc lol it cost too much for me So no it has never been overclocked, still stock. I think a re-installation of lfs might be a good idea. I'll give that a shot!

My pc is only acouple of months old, It's a nVidia GeForce 7900gs 256mb. I checked the temp ingame its only around 49-55 degrees its in the low green bars. And my hdd is at 33 degrees I don't think its overheating causing it

Hey. I have seen this afew times now, in different parts of the track each time and it has looked slightly different each time. Usually its a tall thin bit of grass shooting to the heavens but this time I got one that looks like this (see attached pic). It's odd I dont know what could cause it but I havent seen it until patch V. It only seems to occur online too.

Incase anyone wants to know my system specs are more than high enough to run the game allright so I dunno what that could be lol.

Oh sorry about the poor quality pic. Used paint to save it.. Too tired to be dealing with photoshop lol.

And finally if I minimise the game and reopen it, it seems to make it all go back to normal...

On my server I can tollerate swearing for like "oh **** I crashed" but if it is directed at people I issue a verbal warning, if it continues a kick, then if it continues I ban. For wrecking I do a similar thing but I move to pitlane if they are in the way then I kick if they continue.

I dont use a screensaver lol and I have set it so my system only boots with certain programs so I don't have many running processes when playing. All i usually have is teamspeak, xfire and bullguard running whilst gaming aswell as vital processes I'm lost for finding a cause lol

I looked for a solution but none of the answers seemed to help me atall. I used to have this issue a while back until I turned off a setting with my antivirus program. Now after installing patch V its back and have no idea what casuses it.

Every so often during a race my game will minimize to desktop causing me to completely wipe out. It does get frustrating.

If anyone knows a cause to this I would be very greatful if they could share it. I heard somewhere that nVidia cards can cause it? If so how can i sort that lol

Hey guys, just thought I'd ask this as I couldnt find it on the search. How exactly ingame do you find someones lfsw name? Since you can't kick or ban using their ingame name. Is there any hotkey or anything? As it can be really stressful when you have some prats being annoying and you can't get their proper name.

Incase that was hard to understand what I mean is how do you find out the account name whilst you are ingame?
Example: My player name is =BTU=ShibbyMan666 and my account name is ShibbyMan666 <-- how would i find that ingame?

Lol if any of you can understand that I would be very happy to have an answer

Hey all! It's me again. After running F.I.B. racing team for some time me and friends had decided to make a all new lfs team. We are new and starting to get our servers now.

We currently have 5 dedicated LFS servers running, We have a 20 man Teamspeak server and our own website/forums. We have quite afew drivers now but we still need more! Our servers running cover various types of race:

I did the same thing because I was curious about what S1 was like. So I got hold of 0.3H. However I didn't have to change anything, I just used one of my S2 unlocks using the same username and pass and it worked and I was about to play on the only S1 server online which was empty too lol

This is the last update from me, won't fill this section anymore lol After a hard few days of getting everything sorted the whole website is back online exactly as it was before! the forum works great so does everything else, so I hope to see all our team members in there soon!

Quck update the website is back online after alot of effort its all fixed, however the forum is still offline but expect this to be up anytime soon!

Another update still having some issues with the databases the site is nearly online again. However I don't know how simply this will be resolved.
I ask that all of our team mates add me to msn [email protected] so i can keep everyone informed, i think i am going to have to set up a temporary site when i get time. However I am working alot of hours and barely have time. So if everyone can get in contact that would be great.

Sorry to spam this lol. Just wan't to let the team know the website may be down for some time. Due to technical problems (flooding) we have had to replace the host server and that is taking some time to set up. Plus I am too busy at the moment to do much about it. However I have purchased a new domain and got some more hosting space once I have the new website up and running I will transfer the team site to that and inform everyone of the new url.

*Edit* The game server is still running so at least racing isn't haulted lol.
