The idea isn't viable. The system is fine the way it is at the moment. Demo is to get a taste of it and S1 is for a little bit more, s2 is for the whole package.
It would be so much more work for the devs and it would only benefit the people who are so tight they can't pay out 12 pounds for an S2 licence.
It seems to me that everyone has different ideas about what it should be like.
We are never all going to agree on a conclusion so there should be an advanced map option where you can select how "you" would like it displayed.
Either like you have said or different colours for every position, backmarkers, lappers, in front, behind, whatever tbh.
No that's where you are wrong. Not paying members should not be able to view / drive in S2 servers as this would be a disadvantage to the drivers that are paying.
Who is more important to the Devs do you think? paying or non-paying members?
Tehre is nothing wrong with the system at the moment. It works exactly the same as any other game. You don't see NFSU servers when you are playing their demo and you can't join their races so I don't see the value of this.
It would be great for demo users but then it wouldn't really be a demo would it? the idea of a demo is to give people a tempory view and an idea of what the full version is like so that they buy it, not to give them full access to view and race in s2 servers. Then all you are doing is paying for better cars and not access to a better quality and better community of racers.
you'd have the same topics asking about shapes instead.
In total there would be 6 different colours. one for you, 3 for 1,2,3rd places and 1 for people behind you and one for people being lapped. I know it may be confusing to the beginner but maybe it could be turned on using advanced options then because I know it would be really useful to me.
yes it's all still there at the old address. I imagine it will be deleted some time in the future when they are sure that all valuable information is transferred.
yeh, I think the best way to resolve it would be to create 2 new sub-forums within the 3D Renders sub-forum. One for 3D Renders Showroom (to present your renders) and another one for 3D Renders Help / Questions (To get support and help on creating you renders).
Yeh that sounds good. I haven't seen anyone to that IRL or looked at the rules but I think that basing the rules on real life is the way ahead for LFS.
It can't be a drive through penalty because, you obviously can't complete the penalty as there are no laps left.
If someone goes through the pits on the last lap then it should just be a straight black flag / disqualification.
Or if you wanted, the pit window option already discussed on RSC would be viable where pits do not count towards your pit tally if completed outside the window.
No that's not right. On a small track like AS Cadet with 10 laps. You have people spread around the track so you clearly cannot see the first 3 cars at all. The colours would help you to spot them out.
But I think drivers that have been lapped by you should maybe be black,
but
too many different colours could be quite confusing don't you think??
there is a 3D Renders forum.. why create a post within the 3D Renders forum and get everyone to post their 3D Renders within that post. this is why we have the forum. so we don't have to. illepall illepall
