hello guys The weekend ive got a few friends coming round to play LFS now i have 2 pcs and 2 wheels, only problem is most of them are LFS noobs, Now since the patch change ive lost all my sets and as far as i no patch X sets don't work to well with patch Y anyway.

Anyway what im asking is would anyone be kind enough to send me some of there road car sets so i can get a few for each car. before anyone says setup field most of those sets are alien with locked diffs etc, they wont give them a good feel for the car or game and will be totaly alien to how they would expect a car to handle...

I dont think there be any good to show off how good LFS is to my freinds bob smiths old pack would of been sweet for this. But it no longer works

A set or 2 for the to small GTR cars would be sweet aswell being FWD they should be able to cope with them.

Use core temp m8 for a much better reading, its known as the most accuarte test for overlockers..

And then use prime 95 for a few hours to test stability..
If speed fan is saying 35 degrees your actual core is sat at more like 50 degrees

The only downside to this is that when going over the car's wheel lock, there will be no resistance in FF (something that Scawen should implement, tbh). The only way to get FF when going over the lock is adjusting the wheel rotation in the Logitech Control Panel, though you'd have to do that every time you change to a car with different wheel lock.

Read through the thread and if im honest i thought i undertood it and then i read another post and im confused again..

Basically i have a G25 can anyone tell me the exact settings i should use so all cars use there correct lock ie road cars 900 GTR 520 and f1 at 400.

The wheel turning compensation as always confused me..Also how do i get it so my wheel makes a dead zone as i pass a cars wheel lock.

I do understand the brake is meant to be hard the throttle softer and the clucth the in between its just seems my brake is at the peak of the hard range and my throttle as so little resistance its like pressing sponge, making it very hard to anolouge.

Guys got my g25 this week and having a few problems its a super wheel but it seems the throttle as zero resistance its like using my old sidewinder pedal very spungy almost feels like im standing in mud its that soft, were as my brake is solid as a rock, when i apply it, its that hard my chair gets pushed back within a lap or 2 im over the other side of the room

Is there an easy way to make the brake and throttle have the same as my clucth thats about perfect.??

Got it home yesterday and im so impressed.

Anyway ive got few questions ill start with this one..
Is there anyway to increase the spring rate of the throttle it seems very loose and the brake clutch extremely solid.. ??

Id like a slightly bit more on the throttle and sligtly less on the brake as it takes a lot to push it to 100% thottle feels a little like sponge.

also is there a script or nything so i can switch from 900 to 720 to 540 degrees fast depending on what server im on or car im driveing, same for gears is there a quick way to go from full 6 speed box to paddle shift, and onto sequential ??

When i first started playing on Stcc/ukctra id sit a race or 2 out and view cam the first place driver..

Use TAB to switch between players and V to change views if u didnt no.

Id then get a basic understanding of the track and lines. id then wait for the end of the race and try to get as many laps in as poss before the race restarts. Theres a good chance when it does start your start at the back, now with each lap id get faster and faster until i came off, for now that is my limit.

Then over a set of races that limit will increase.

Im buying a new g25 when i get payed next friday,, Ive finally caved in

Couple of questions im buying it from OCUK (overlockers.co.uk) Is there anyway i can find out if its a new revision ???
How can i tell. I don't want to spend 160 quid and end up with one of the older models.

Also do all G25 come with Rfactor ?

Not for me i have huge problems with the XF GTI and find it hard to get the tires to last more than 5 laps

Ive got the addon texture improvements which i must say improve the look a great deal, now all thats lacking for me is a good set of sounds.

Just went to play forgetting all about my problems yesterday and it seems to have sorted its self out i was able to connect np.

Thxs for the help looks like a modem reset would of fixed the problem. As turning it off last night and back on today must of fixed it.
Releasing and renewing like you said, i should of thought of doing that myself but ill remember for future reference

Get a second hand MS FF in as good a condition you can find..
I brought mine off a guy off here for £10 the wheel is in superb condition and im able to play LFS up to a very high standard..

No i dont have an H-shifter but u could make one of those with a cheap FF joystick off ebay, (i got an old ms FF for £2.95) making a shifter would be so much easier for you that way..

Server 1 is full to the brim and cant get on ive been trying for 15 minutes.
Server 2 and 3 require a password ?

Well after talking to nuttyboy i guess ive left the team, it wasnt what i expected it to be, i weanted to join an active team with active members who i could race with and improve with..

The fact is the whole time ive been with this team ive done 1 lap with the team the rest of the time i haven't saw one member online playing or even contacts me..

+1 for real time shadows and lighting. And for that we need dx9

They bring live to a game

Ive drove using cockpit view since i got the game, so it doesn't effect me.
Im a bit pee'd off that in replays your locked 2 cockpit aswell thou

An 8800 GTS is more suited imo. alot cheaper and as future prove as the 8800GTX

LFS i guess will be direct x10 eventually, The 8*** series were the first direct x 10 cards. Most new games now support direct x10.

IMO the 8800GTS is the best bank per card on the market today.
