Quick video of 'the brooklyn' in action at Donington, chasing our friend Steve in his ex works sierra cosworth with 450hp, we were using about 460hp on the day. Dad always used to brake considerably later than most.. getting on the brakes at the end of the blue and white stripes at the end of the pit lane on the left.
Used to be a county basketball player who had trials with the England coach, also played for birmingham and dudley.
Play darts, pool, snooker.. pub games etc..
Lots of bike riding on my orange crush 05 and when my friend leaves it at my house (which is about all the time as he doesn't like leaving his bike at the barracks) I ride his Orange 224 09 World Cup.. last place I went was the black run at Llandegla which was interesting
Used to run 100meters at a time of 10.8 second which is rather fast, but due to me putting a stone on since I left work that time has come down.... rather a lot lol
and I race Rc cars which is fun..at a local club which is fun
Karting is something I wish to get into be it TKM or Rotax... shall have to see what the budget is!
Driving experience days are a complete waste of time!
My mother was going to book one for my dad until I informed her that some of the cars he had had over the years would make the ferrari 360 seem a little slow.. plus the chances are my father knew the track better than the instructor himself..
Just do a track day instead, you actually get to drive how you want to then (apart from drifting and driving like a general cock)
and you do understand they have missed off the air scoop off the top for the engine which all road going Rs200 had (Group B cars had the cats ears also)
Some of the cars my father has owned over the years.. obviously not mine but I did help build and maintain some of them (texaco, Brooklyn, White 3 door, moonstone blue 3 door and megabusa). Happy days..
Ahhh Mr Dendy I see you're on here!!.. wow I say that if I know you personally.. more just know of you..
My friend Jimi (James) hughes (who i'm sure you know Mr Dendy) will more than likely be running in the TKM Festival and hopefully if I can i'll try and get up there to help him on the day..
Tkm is something I really want to get into, so I best hurry and get some money!
Donington all the way, if any of you are like me and had the pleasure of going around both these circuits then you will know Donington is the far superior in terms of excitment and racing.
