1. ability to have rear wing raise at a certain speed, such as the bugatti chiron
2. even a simple animation that somewhat represent sparks, when the car scrapes the ground
more head movement when going at fast speeds especially on formula cars
the ability to add helmet texture and make it seem like you are inside the actual racing helmet
side head movement. right now you are able to have the head follow the mouse, but what if it did it sideways: example to counteract the g-forces, a driver will lean his head in that directions
to activate the lightbar on mods, you need to turn on indicators, it would be cool to have a separate button that activates lightbars (that would also mean adding more light features in the editor)
as the new tire physics update will be released with the major graphic overhaul, I have some questions or suggestions.
Will tires have any graphical change throughout a race? I'm talking about things such as marbles or even just simple 2D gravel pebbles on the tires. If not, It would be amazing to have it.
How will the new graphics update impact PC performance?
Are the new maps going to be released along with the update?
Will the tire physics update/map updates/graphics update/new maps be available for testing before the official release? If so will they be separate test patches or not?
Will car sounds be updated?
yes, avoid using fast cars with AIs in general. because they lack spatial awareness and only stick to the racing line (meaning they will do anything to stay on it, including ramming). AIs in lfs generally dont do fast cars and are much better in slower cars
No, I’m not criticising, I owe it all to these amazing developers for creating such a magnificent game, however I am more than ecstatic to be able to play the new update. Lately I have spent hours analysing every screenshot and every other possible video or posts about the new updates to learn as much as possible. Especially the screenshots, I watched every single one and did a side by side comparison with the actual game to see every detail. Pleased to say I also noticed a lot of changes even in the new maps such as west hill.
when the new major update comes out, how hard is it to implement NPC/AI in south city cruise maps. something very simple, such as AIs with pre-programmed paths that they can follow in loops. maybe go in a loop around the block, nothing too complicated
tirewalls should have soft-body physics, but be heavier, to create a more realistic impact. Also, many tirewalls throughout the map are fully solid, i know the developers are working on tech-pro barriers, but the tirewalls should have the ability to deform as well.
1. Better AIs (spatial awareness, speed, overtaking)
2. Better AIs could influence the ability to add race control things, such as proper strategies against AI and safety cars and so on.
3. better map editing (objects such as trees, spectators, emergency vehicles, curbs) different terrains, instead of having to place down literal blocks of concrete, it could be a paint brush on surface (with strength and size), larger object limit, buildings (such as houses used outside map or pitlane)).
4. as previously said, gear shift animations.
5. Better damage model (nothing crazy, just the ability to detach front and rear wing, wheels, bumpers).
6. Weather (rain and damp mud and race tracks).
Thank you
Remember, this is not criticising, this is my favourite sim of all time and just giving some long term improvement suggestions.
actually i've tried that, and that seems to cause more issues, because the faster AI will sit behind the slower AI, causing a massive train, and in the braking zones the slower AI brakes before. Because they lack spatial awareness, the faster AI will run right into them.
