really cool game, uses generative world seeds to create infinite and unique roads to drive on. graphics look incredible and it is a really cool concept, it lacks good physics and custom cars with good sound design. This could create one of the best concepts in my opinion, grab a fun car to drive and go enjoy twisty infinite roads with no rules, custom weather, custom time, custom season, custom surroundings. The best features to add would be good physics, good car models, good sound design, hardware support, traffic, occasional intersecting roads to take as an alternative, maybe some buildings scattered here and there. Overall still a great game
It's even worse for me now:

So as far as I know the biggest thing lacking in the karts is the differential, I couldn’t find the thread on which I read this, but the reason for the karts handling being so weird is because it HAS a differential, whereas real life karts don’t (hence why you should always lean to the outside of the kart)
Not an expert on game development or anything but would it be difficult to add a feature to remove differentials in LFS editor?
Thank you
I didn't bother recording and uploading it, but it was multiple races already that others were complaining of his driving, not to mention he did some weird contact with 2 other drivers shown in the video which were 100% avoidable if he had more patience
Fair enough, let them race, but I don't think some of the bans are severe enough. That said, the move to break slipstream was a very small one (IMO, either way, didn't know that rule so now I will avoid doing it) but after when I moved to the right, it wasn't really to break slipstream but rather to cover the inside, to whose stupidity decided to just drive into the grass, completely avoidable
I don't know if it's obvious in the clip, but I wasn't sticking close to it, I just have the habit of turning it on. The only time I use it is when I'm racing against AI because it makes their moves a little more predictable
one of the main reasons I made this video is to show how to have an actual fight without being too aggressive, otherwise it takes out all the fun
Your first attempt of the overtake at the start of the straight is a perfect example of what I was s, unless going into the second last turn before the straight you are already alongside, if you start to go alongside on the last turn it will never notice you and will always turn in. best way to make it fair is to just give a faster setup to the AI and use a slower setup for yourself
incredible mod, one question, can you please add TC for mouse users? also this is general question for these sort of mods, when going into garage, it will say "brakes/TC" as if the car has it, but how come this happens often that TC isnt actually available
I'm guessing you are using mouse and keyboard? the developer Rob is aware of this issue, currently some of the features of this addon do not work other than Wheel controls
Be able to see map preview of layout object track, just like when you click on a track it will show the circuits' diagrams, since the layout map is available when spawned it, I imagine you can also have the map preview available before spawn
To use the mods offline, I don't know if this is the intended way of doing it, but in the loading screen when you have selected the track, you have the ability to save or load a grid, which includes the setup, skin and car last used when this grid was saved. I have over 400 mods that I have saved as a grid, and even if some of them are removed from the active mod list, I can still access them in single player
I see and that’s completely understandable it’s just lfs is yet to have a modern f1 car not Merc based, and I know I am asking for a lot, but theoretically couldn’t you create a separate mod and completely remodel the wheel? This is just suggestions I am not demanding anything just trying to learn the topic
Hello I haven't been able to play LFS for the past months and came back today and noticed the epic addition of new liveries, however this is an issue that has bugged me with all the F1 cars in the game ;-; incorrect steering wheels, I understand that the car was designed to resemble the mercedes, but as far as i know (i don't know a lot about programming) you are able to create separate custom models on the same vehicle like it has the option of halo or no halo. Depending on the difficulty of this request, is it possible to have matching steering wheels with the liveries? thank you and love the work
So as previously discussed, many of us have talked about track editing and asked the devs for this program, however, how would the features of this program be optimized?
1. Surface paint, to be able to paint different surfaces (eg. gravel, grass, dirt, snow)
2. as previously discussed and shown, buildings and trees, the ones that have already been designed and placed on most of the tracks which really adds life to these tracks
3. be able to change the angle of surfaces in a smooth way, instead of having to try and crowd flat surfaces at different angles to provide a smooth change. In a way that kind of makes it seem elastic
4. How would the AIs be able to race on these tracks? Somehow be able to determine boundaries of the track, and create a racing line for them (could be done by just doing laps or AI generating if the boundaries are well determined)
As some of you know, you can play LFS as joystick with mouse, meaning your brake and throttle are on the y axis and steering on the x axis. My request is to be able to assign only gas or brake as y axis and maintain the other as a button as if it were normal mouse controls. This helps mouse players with more powerful cars. Currently you are only able to do normal mouse controls or combined TH/BR
