And this brings up another question:

Is the Scirocco supposed to be "road-going" only or also a race version?

Like it's done already with FXR, FZR, XRR, etc.

So, like VWS and VWR?

In Germany, there's a the Scirocco R-Cup, but I haven't really paid attention iff those cars were still mostly road-cars or had been modified for circuit racing.

They had a push-to-pass button though.

Some action:

Only had to contact them once, for changing my name as it wasn't my credit card, and that was done in about 3 days I'd say.

They gave me some number to forward with any complaint or whatever question I'd have.

No problems so far.

Quote from Drifters Only :I personally don't, specially not in the race because you'll wreck your suspension eventually. I stay clear of them, I think in the race there will be sanctions maybe for when you hit a pole 3 laps in a row or something because it's just clear cutting imo.

Low 41 is easilly possible without going for the poles and you can exit very well without hitting them or getting even close to them. I try to stay as much with 2 wheels on the tarmac as possible there. Try to aim around 155kph at the exit.

*Enters chicane*

Car bounces for-and backwards. Kerb 1, car bounces up on the left, two-wheel action starts. Left side hits the tarmac again, onto kerb 2. Hits kerb 2, car gets unstable and starts to jump a little, while either going for over-or understeer.

Exit speed: Never higher than 140 kph so far

I often go for the grass on the outside...

Quote from Boothy :Drivers who HAVE participated in a previous round (at least a Reserve Shootout) are not required to submit this, but will be notified if we desire this to be submitted.

In other words: Boothy thinks you suck, Scotty, and you have to submit a new one

Nah, you should be fine.

Do you take the poles with you every lap? Because I seem to stay too far from them

And don't get me wrong, I love Endurance races too, I've watched the 24hrs of the Nordschleife every year since at least 2000, and been to Le Mans since about 2006

Quote from Osco :I have the exact same binds to the G25 shifter buttons and it has been working fine for ages. Red buttons are for ignition, pit limiter, traction control and handbrake.

I use them for(Left to right): Pit limiter, Ignition, Horn and Flash Light. Always gets a bit messy when switching to rF again

Dunno if the buttons also work in iR.

I would have used those binds earlier if I A knew how to do it and B If I wasn't that lazy and forgetting about it.

RAWWRRRR deleted binds now so it won't happen again, times were shite anyway.

At least I made binds to F9 and etc. now.

But I still dislike that chicane, regardless which version. Nearly flipped myself. Maybe I am still too fast, but others seem to fly through there...

Quote from Silverracer :

Kristi's first suggestion works fine. Its easy to configure too; Lets say you need to bind the buttons F9 to F12 on to the 4 four red buttons on the shifter. As Kristi mentioned, you can assign the following; under the CTRL+ binds - for CTRL+F9 type in "/press F9". For CTRL+F10 type in "/press F10" and so on... Then you only need to configure the binds to the buttons you need under Controls>CTRL+ (When you've selected Wheel/joystick).

I tried that suggestion now.

Strg+F5 = /press up
Strg+F6 = /press down
Strg+F7 = /press left
Strg+F8 = /press right

(All these commands are now connected to the black d-pad on the gear shifter. Needed for when you change fuel amount, damage on /off, etc.)

Strg+F9 = /press F9
Strg+F10 = /press F10
Strg+F11 = /press F11
Strg+F12 = /press F12

Strg = Ctrl

(As suggested, these are now connected to the four black buttons on the shifter. The left button now indicates tyres, the upper one suspension/dampers, the right one ARB and brake bias and the bottom one indicates the pit stop strategy window.)

I've tried it and it works well Thanks for your help

I've placed /w wr and /w pb onto Alt+F1 and Alt+F2 and deleted 1-4 binds to not write something by mistake.

If there's a flaw in using this method, tell me.

To explain, iRacing TV Ep 7 is out, includes details of an LMP2 car, Interlagos, Sprint car, F-Mod sound thing and the ability to repair damage in a pit-stop.

LOL

And here I was wondering at the pits why the damage wasn't repaired

Williams @Zandvoort after some laps 1:19 and something I think.

MX-5 1:00.6 at Lime Rock. I think I like Open Wheelers more. Even though I only have the Williams

Quote from Silverracer :I see your point, it would be better to have those shown in-game; maybe you (+others) can suggest the best way for Scavier to implement this? Should they show up under reserve keys in Options>Controls? Maybe somewhere better?

Kristi's first suggestion works fine. Its easy to configure too; Lets say you need to bind the buttons F9 to F12 on to the 4 four red buttons on the shifter. Well, I'd love the F-Buttons to be indicated in the controls screen.

The way you mentioned: I'll try it out. What would be the command for the cross in the middle for up, down, left right?

Quote :CTRL+Arrow up "/press up"
CTRL+Arrow down "/press down"
CTRL+Arrow left "/press left"
CTRL+Arrow right "/press right"

Like this? Since I'd need to change reful amount for example.

Does this way work as good as if you'd normally press F9-F12 for pit stops, setup, etc.?

That's nearly the same as me, maybe?

I try attaching my G25 gear shifter button(s) to F9 to F12 for switching between and changing things, like pit stop options, ARB, etc.

These buttons can't be selected in the setting menu. Even though I can press button #xyz and it shows with his number.

I got shown this script guide from the LFS Manual, which would allow to use the buttons on the wheel instead of the F-buttons:

http://en.lfsmanual.net/wiki/Script_Guide

I haven't gotten it fully yet... "Try and error", but I hate doing something I hardly understand and could harm more than not...

Quote from Martin Deutschland :^^i believe more and more that Rockingham and the VW is going to be released as S3 content.

I think it was always going to be that way, the Scirocco and Rockingham as S3 material.

Quote from Martin Deutschland :BTW: I am ready to pay 12$ for the Nordschleife in LFS! ..ok enough offtopic

Ah yes, a Circuit Builder. So we could roughly re-create real tracks like Le Mans, the Nordschleife, Monza, etc. Would be a massive feature, but also very hard to implement, I'd think?

Still have to learn some tracks with different cars and be fast on them, so I wouldn't really have a right to ask for more content. Scirocco Cup like in Germany would be awesome though.

Wow, that's really quick! Nice!

I hope you won't have to spend much time with setups... Like rFactor, like LFS, I'll probably also be shite at them in iR.

Well, mine works just fine... I ain't driving like a devil.

I can hear it making a noise(creaking) when turning in at a degree, but I think that's just normal, it's under stress, so what?

If it should break or get damaged, I'll either try to get it fixed or in worst case get a G27 and stick with Logitech.

Apart from the strange un-plug-plug FFB thingy, I've always been happy in the... 2? years I had it now.

MUCH better, I saw V1 and V2 pictures of the chicane.

The first version looked like you wanted us to chose if we were going left on the second half or go for the "gap" between the hay balls in the middle, luring us into a penalty

HA! Attempt failed!

I'll have a shot at the new chicane soon to get a feeling(Until it's not erased again!).

Should have known, otherwise those guys wouldn't earn cash

In that case, I only have to decide which offer, but I guess 3 months is fine to try it out.

As for more cars, I rather look at non-oval. I may be a Dale Sr. fan(still), but I am not the best oval racer I guess

Oh god, I hate that chicane...

Or it's me that's running out of sync...

EDIT: If changed chicane or not, I seem to not like it. Or the chicane doesn't like me!xD
