eehm... if possible, how do I get this code loaded correctly in VC++ ExpressEdition? I always get an empty solution... Or can I get it somehow loaded into Dev-C++?
Or doesn't it work in C++ at all and I have to learn C#?
I mean, sure, the physics are rolled back to the point of PQ, but it should be possible to get LFSPQ by simply dropping the contents of a PQ zip into a PU LFS installation.
Edit: Lible: as you can see from this tiny "arrow" ( > ), I ment patches after Q. But it seems I'm thinking a bit crossover, so simply ignore my posts...
afair patch >Q only changes the exe and graphics, so it shouldn't affect the physics because its completely calculated in the exe... And the newer graphics simply won't work because the files aren't recognized by the prog...
My guess: never. Why?
LFS cars are (like Fonnybone said some pages before...) encrypted, so it wont be possible to edit any of the cars except the demo ones.
But why didn't you post that in the development-thread? Wouldn't have noticed that you made a release if my friend did not look into the forums. ^^
EDIT: anyone got it to work through a router? My friend is running a server at home and I cant get the client to connect on his server through the router....
I dont know how the server works internally, but the main problem to solve would be getting the server to print all messages in the console instead of using an x-server, or am i totally wrong? ^^
And the second one to get it to run without directx, which makes it necessary to recode the whole thing... I see, using wine is much easier...
The server could only run on linux if you get it to work in wine or cedega. Or we could try to get the devs port it to linux, that would simplify running it. But that will take some time...
Even if you get LFS to run in VPC, it wont do so well. The Virtual Machine which vpc emulates only has a onboard-style graphics chip (=software rendering) so it wont produce that nice graphics.
An Intel-Based Mac doesnt really simplify the whole thing, the program still has to be prepared for OSX, it needs to become a "Universal-Binary" (which is comin out for WoW soon afaik -.-)
What I wanna say: Even if you get LFS to run, it wont be fun. ^^
you can create ramps on Blackwood by using the autocross editor, but I think that isnt possible on other scenarios.... And a mod doesnt work for it, youll need an autocross setup
