You might have read about it on cityliga.de but I forgot to share it here.

This shall not heat up speculations, we don't know more then you do. With the new patch, there shall be changes, because of which we have to check through all our programs to test their compability. So in cotrast to the rules, we are dealing with the situation in the following way:

Quote :I. participation
I.1. requirements
  • Live for Speed S2 (most recent Version, but no testpatches)
  • Until further notice: Live for Speed S2 Version 0.6G or compatible

Of course all compatible versions to 0.6G can be used. We don't know what to expect and what comes, so we cannot guerantee to update our systems right after the patch, especially since GridQualifying 3 takes place at Westhill.

As result of the second GridQualifying, Grid 1 is filled completely. While the Top 10 in the championship standings were safe, everyone else had to qualify into it. So did familiar faces, like 64 - S M.Kapal or 11 - EM.Marcel. But the grid also features fast newcomers: 71 - [WCL] A.Valta and 2014 Nissan GT Academy Germany winner 54 - Marc Gassner already showed a strong pace, being together with 94 - P.Kubinji the only drivers to surpass the 1:06.00 barrier.

We can expect an interesting and spectacular race tonight, with the live coverage starting at 19:15 UTC on Simrace.TV Channel 1.

Mon. 16. Mar. 2015, 19:15h (UTC)

South City Town Course (SO5)
Day Overcast (2), no wind (0)
Formula V8 (FO8)

time qualifying of 10 minutes
lap qualifying of 1 lap, best 8 drivers
race of 61 laps, mandatory pitstop between lap 15-46

Race four of CityLiga 20 is also race one after the first, second GridQualifying in CityLiga history, which resulted in two large grids.
This race monday, we're in South City on the Town Course with the Formula V8.

The Qualifying is split in two parts. After a ten minute long time qualifying, where everyone may drive as many laps as one likes, a lap-limited qualifying for the fastest eight drivers of the previous session, in which the race admin calls up the drivers, one after another. A quick out-lap and a hot-lap follow the call. With the end of the timed lap, the driver must join the spectator mode.Excessive tirewarming is prohibited during the out-lap and penalties, for crossing the yellow pit-exit blend line i.e., have to be served immediately.

A race of 61 laps follows, featuring a mandatory pitstop between lap 15 and 46.

We know, with the GridQualifying, the grid sizes increased heavily, so we ask you to stay aware of your fellow race drivers and be respectful.

Like always, until the start of the third racing lap by the leading driver, you may rejoin once.

P.S. We don't mind if you use another sim any time you feel like it. There's no exclusivity clause in our contract with you. Big grin

Wait... There is not? Dammit, I've avoided every other racing game for the past 8 years...

The difference is you would have been flamed from this forum, if you even mentioned a different racing game back then Wink

The first CL20 grid qualifying runs from Mon 02.03.2015 23:00:00 UTC until Fri 13.03.2015 22:59:59 UTC with the Formula V8 at South City Town.

Every participant has 10 laps on this combo to set a fast time. The GridQuali-server aren't server for training and every lap driven too much will be penalized as written in the rules at the end of the GQ.

A lap counts with passing the first split. You are able to cancel a lap before the first split without debiting your lap account.

You can check your driven laps both in the tracker and ingame after leaving the pitlane. If something is wrong or problems occur it's your responsibility to tell us via PM or write a post in the related thread immediately.

You are allowed to change between the both cars during the GridQuailification but the lap counter includes all cars. There is no relation between GridQualifying and the first race regarding your car selection. Be aware, that the FXO has a 3% intake restrictor and every set lap without this penalty will charge your lap counter but the time will be removed.

Because the GridQuali is an official part of the season please drive with your starting number and ingame-name according to the rules.

There is no duty to participate in the GQ, but laptimes naturally increase the chances of a place in a (highest possible) grid.

We are always trying to applicate new sign-ins as fast as possible into the tracker (e.g.). However, this is a purely manual process and can't always be done immediately. Even if your name is not appearing in the Tracker, you can drive laps right after sign-in as they are recorded in any case, even without displaying in the tracker. This follows then as soon as we have added you into it.

The final race of the first block, so the final race before the second gridqualifying, takes place at the most traditional track of CityLiga: South City Classic. Will CoRe SimRacing's C.Winkler continue his perfect streak and consequently win race 3 and 4 of the season or will someone from the second row shorten the gap to the record champion? And who will secure a top-10 position and thereby a save spot in Grid 1 in the second block?

Live coverage on Simrace.TV starts at roughly 19:15 UTC.

Round 3 - XF GTI @ South City Classic

Mon. 02. Mar. 2015, 19:15h (UTC)

South City Classic (SO1)
Afternoon Clear (1), no wind (0)
XF GTI (XFG)

lap qualifikation of 2 laps, drivers are called up
1st race of 35 laps
2nd race of 35 laps, top 33 % of the field reversed

Just like a year ago, the third race of the winter season guides us to South City Classic. Instead of the traditional FOX, the XF GTI is sent onto the 2 kilometer long racetrack.

It all starts with a lap-limited qualfying session, in which every driver is called in by the race admin one after another. A quick out-lap and two consecutive hot-laps follow the call. With the end of the second timed lap, the driver must join the spectator mode. Excessive tirewarming is prohibited during the out-lap and penalties, for crossing the yellow pit-exit blend line i.e., have to be served immediately.

Two races of 35 laps each follow. The first race will be started by the results of the qualifying, the second race will start by the results of the first race, with the exception that the top 33% will be switched within their starting-order.
Both races can be reentered once, until the start of the third racing lap by the leader.

That's my fault... I fell asleep when escaping from all the Carnival Rose Monday activities Frown When I returned home after the Rose Monday Parade (my home street is on its route) vanished it was just an hour before the start of the stream, so preparing that had the priority on my mind then.

Edit: I'm shoked the words for all the festivities are more or less word-by-word translations according to Wikipedia...

At the end, it is the driver's choice of car. There is enough time to find out what car might be stronger and so on. Drivers are not bond to a car until the start of the monday night event.

We try our best to get the ballancing right, but sometimes it works better then at other times, since it always involes testing and evaluation. The first aspect is also infuenced by the pool of setups we have, the second aspect is needed due to the time that does not allow us to simulate a race so accuratly, that we can statisfy 3 grids of drivers.
