Ferrari are saying its part of the brake ducting, to which Ron Dennis claims Ferrari should be penalised if thats the case. The brake ducts are a part of the car that cannot be changed after quali according to him
interesting theory and design though. I dont think it'll be long before we see everyone with them. I do find it interesting that Ferrari cannot seem to make the winglets on the upper nose work while some of the other teams (especially Renault) have 2 sets!
to be honest I'm not sure. I thought the 300d was just a previous release to the 350. who knows?!
Get the feel of the camera, then go for the glass like you said.
come october I should have some more shots. Going to Virginia for the Rolex series race. Cant' wait
Dan, it really depends on what you're going to be shooting. The 20d has AI Servo focusing mode which auto-focuses very well on moving objects. I've heard there is a software hack for the 350d but I dont know for sure. Also, the 20d has a bit better build quality or feel to it if you ask me. I didn't much like the plastic body of the rebel and rebelXT, but that comes down to personal preference really.
I was shooting with "L" series glass in the pictures you see. I own a 70-200mm f/4 L and rented the 400mm f/5 from rentglass.com for a few weeks and drug it around all weekend. Its a beast to carry around and pan with...much heavier than what I'm used to. Needs a monopod, at least for me.
I originally had the lens you have but sold if after a year (only lost $60 on it...thank you ebay!) and go the 70-200. Not quite as long a reach but the extra quickness in autofocus and sharpness are worth the tradeoff.
One big tip though. Don't rent or buy L series glass unless you really plan to sink some money into your camera equipment. Once you try shooting with L glass you won't go back....its a sickness really. Much like LFS has become
Vendetta - PM me your email address. File is about 8mb but I have it in large-format TIFF
I'll agree with what someone posted. Get those shutter speeds down so we can get a better sense of speed in the shots with blurred wheels and backgounds
Try shooting around F8 or F11 shutter aperture and about 1/125th of a second and just turn your waist with the car as it passes. Takes some practice but looks great in the end! Shouldn't need the ISO so high, just up your shutter speed instead. High ISO = high noise in the pics.
Well done though! Love the redbull and the formula nuts lol
Here's the deal. You can complain all you want, close threads, and talk crap to everyone and their mother (devs included) but you are not going to change the forum. I ran one for 4 years and if there is one thing I learned, its that everyone is always right, just ask them. You're not going to stop the bitching and complaining. For some reason people think thats what this place is here for. The other problem lies in the fact that you cannot express emotion through the typed word.
So, all those complaining about how bad the forums are....get used to it I'm affraid. Its certainly not going to change over night (if at all). I wish it would so they devs could have more time to work on the game and less time to spend cleaning house over here....
**disclaimer** this is not directed at one person or group. I've not read everything regarding these latest issues, this is just based on what I see all over the forums**
I have carpet around my desk, with one of those plastic things under the chair so you can roll it around easily on the rug...it creates quite a mess because the carpet gets indented from the pressure of the wheels after i sit in it and it creates little "potholes" for my wheels to stay in. Its usally in the wrong spot (off by just an inch or so) so that I cannot move my chair to where it needs to be without it rolling back into the potholes LOL
so as I'm totally new to this can someone tell me if I can run this on a personal LFS game between a friend and myself? Whats needed to use it?
Was thinking of trying skype but concerned about bandwidth with it while playing the game. Just looking for a way to chat to a friend while we screw around in a 2 man race (maybe a few others here and there as well....)
I agree I would LOVE to see some licensed cars but I'm certainly not going to let that stop me from driving. The game is simply amazing and the more I get into it, the better it becomes. I was very dissapointed at first with the non-licensed cars but I couldn't really care less now.
