Quote from BlueFlame :Senna wrecked Prost for political reasons. Whilst unacceptable on track, was accepted by all off the track, hence why he was never penalized.

No.

Senna was never penalized because there was nothing they could do to penalize him, Senna saw a loop in the rules and even Balestre highlighted that even though it was injust and unfair there was nothing they could do. What can you do? You cannot take points away from him as that that is not the rules, and how do you fine a man who is earning up to $25m a year. Please stop talking out of your arse mister

Two podiums in as many races for Team Vires
29th March 2012

The first came in the exciting new series from Genuine Racing at South City Long Reversed with the GT1 cars, where Sean Williams scored a 3rd place on his return to GT1 racing after a long period without driving the cars. Sean drove a brilliant race, chasing Dennis Lind across the line and fighting well with Evo Racing drivers at the start.

The second came after a long battle at Westhill International Reversed in the GT3 Touring Car Cup where Pierre Peron and James Peace finished second after 3 hours despite a huge lag hit whilst fighting for the lead which turned the 05 Vires car around and into the wall at 225kph close to the two hour mark. Having started from Pole, Peron saw off the intentions of those around him to remain in the lead for most of the hour before a series of mistakes demoted him to 6th. Peace then took over the car and made good progress and within an hour was right on the tail of the leading CoRe Racing XRR, but was to suffer the lag hit which plummeted the car down to 12th. A mission to get back to the top 5 for points sake was then embarked upon by Peace who moved up to 4th before 3rd and 2nd placed Savage SimSports and SpdoRacing collided just half a car length in front of him and opened the door for 2nd place. The good haul of points keeps the 05 car in the hunt for the championship. Tamás 'skyline_TOmy' Csáki made his Team Vires debut in the number 21 car along with Team Rock Racing rookie Joakim Rognlien which, due to the severe misfortunes of the number 16 cars drivers Przemek Wdowiarz and Jere Heiskanen, finished a high 14th place, beating the 16 car.

Team Vires move into Easter focusing on the next round of the GT3 Touring Car Cup, the long awaited start of the GT2 World Series and a continuing participation in Genuine Racing's GT1 Championship, and wishing everyone a happy Easter!

Quote from Storm_Cloud :I am undecided about whether the hard tyre is a good or bad option for Vettel.

You would expect him to take a little pain off the start, but then probably be able to hold whatever position he has. He will be able to run a few laps longer, but once the other drivers pit and take fresh primes they will be a lot quicker, so I can't see any benefit there as they get the undercut. Three plus points for him:

Long run down to T1, I expect him to have a slow get away and be about 8th by the end of the lap. Schumi will have a chance at the McLarens on lap one, and we can't really write the Merc's off as Rosberg is statistically bad at races (from memory) and Schumi of course is good in races. So we shall see, but it would be great to see Michael on the podium.

Hoping Webber will have a better start than last time, and Button will probably have an awful get away from that dirty side of the track.

I had a white suit once and the mother went ape at my dad for buying it. Sure enough, 2 race meetings in it was not white and never again was white. Looked the bees-knees before though.

Funny, I make the same move on LFS and that was a penalty no problem.

Rosberg was dissapointing to be honest and Massa is just awful!

Having seen the pace of that Lotus I'm looking forward to watching Kimi coming through the pack. Rosberg and Schmacher will be very quick I think but if Lewis can lead the first lap the race will be his for sure. Great news to Romain though, he positioned himself perfectly after falling outside the F1 paddock, getting involed in the right management that would see his return.

Quote from Bean0 :Do you need a superlicense to be a test driver ?

I believe so.

The licence requirements do seem to be a slight crack in this plan, as to obtain an International B which is required (IIRC) you need to compete in pretty much a full season of National / International racing anyway and achieve top results in those series.

Matti come on.. that's shameful.

You could have easily given room and not compromised your next lap but you deliberately blocked me, seriously ruined the only lap I was going to get cos I had to have dinner after it.

Quote from Kristi :You could've drove a whole season in the SuperGT GT5 class. Why didn't you?

Because the GT5 driver we had at the start of the season turned his nose up at driving with anyone in the team.

Rest of the time he was driving with us in GT300 anyway. I think what Sean means is GT1 single class racing rather than multi-class.

Quote from CSF :Also, another idea I had was for a driver championship, a little bit like in LFSCART. As you won't be able to drive for more than 2 teams every season, it might work, but.... I dunno. What do you guys think?

Peace out. (/PMD mode off)

Sounds good in my opinion.

Quote from no_one :For me, if you can get to the apex of the corner without relying on bouncing off of the car on the outside it is an ok pass.

I would say the same, but if the car turns in and does make contact with you - apparently that is illegal and you can and will get a penalty in league races, regardless of the fact you had nowhere to go and was ahead. Even if the contact was slight and self induced.
