Quote from Mustafur :oh also, Peter sauber hasn't ruled out the buyout of BMW to make the old Sauber team again(YAY) so we still have alot of things that can change.

"I can't do wonders and I certainly do not want to be team boss on the pitwall again."

Are you sure about that?

Quote :The Hungarian Grand Prix was Nelson Piquet Jnr’s last start for Renault, according to sources at the team.

His replacement has not been officially confirmed but is expected to be Renault Development driver Romain Grosjean. Piquet’s replacement will either race at Valencia or Spa-Francorchamps, depending on whether the team’s appeal against its ban is successful.

Well how much of a surprise is that to anyone?

Well after reading the majority of this thread I've gathered the following;
  • You get banned if you're from another cruise team as soon as you enter the server.
  • They develop a hate for you if you do not do what they say.
  • People are randomly banned and kicked, then told to "F*ck Off".
  • The maturity level of the members are extremely low
  • No one has respect for anyone.
There needs to be growing up by certain people, from what I can gather from reading these posts.

Quote from c00kie :Sorry if I'm doing something wrong by linking to another forum, but this could explain why he cancelled. Link

That's very interesting that you've posted that. Does anyone actually know how old he is? I guessing he's like 10, maybe I'm wrong ...

Quote from tinvek :i see that renault have lodged an appeal, no surprise there, i'm sticking by my original thought that the ban will become suspended dependent on no further offences within X races and a fine imposed

They've had their appeal lodged within an hour of the suspension being issued

Personally I don't know what the outcome will be. Hopefully it'll be good news and Renault will be able to participate in Valencia, but it more than likely won't be the case and they'll have to sit it out

Quote from Mustafur :
My Predictions(that will most likely happen imo)
-Kubica -> Mclaren/Renault
-Kovalainen -> Williams/Renault
-Heidfeld -> Brawn/new team
-Alonso -> Ferrari/Stays
-Rosberg -> A Works team
-Senna -> Brawn/New team
-Barrichello -> Williams/ New team
-Raikkonen -> stays/Mclaren/Retires

McLaren: Hamilton/?
Ferrari: Massa/Alonso
Renault: Grosjean/Di Grassi
Brawn: Button/?
Williams: Rosberg/?
Force India: Sutil/?
Toro Rosso: Alguersuari/Buemi
Red Bull: Webber/Vettel
Toyota: Trulli/Glock
Manor: ?/?
USF1: ?/?
Campos: ?/?

I personally think that's more of what we'll see on the grid next year so far. It'll probably change a bit over the course of the next few weeks or months.

One word: Nope

He should just wait until he is deemed fit enough by the doctors to race again, there's really not any point in rushing things.

He's not really got a lot to lose. A few hours of track time, when he could be keeping fit and preparing himself for the remaining races of 2009.

Quote from HalleMarques :I was going to post his name. He understands more of motorsports than all of the guys that are being named to sit on the throne.

We need less politics and more racing. Long life to Balestre.

Could you possibly explain?

Vatanen was a World Rally Champion and Todt has led many teams to success in various series. The Stig has what driven a few laps around the top gear track? That makes him understand more of motorsport?

I've had a KX85 in the back of a new Renault Espace so you should be okay with that, although I'm not entirely sure.

I've got a KX85 and there pretty reliable if you look after them properly. Just don't keep it flat out for long!

For the acre you're going to be playing around on, is it just flat or is there actually anything interesting on it; Jumps, hills, ponds ?

Quote from DeKo :Indeed, no doubt every team will have a totally brilliant simulator to learn tracks on.

Indeed every team will have a 2 week break where the whole factory will be shut down in the next 4 weeks, Hence why I suggested we may see him in rFactor in the F60 driving around Valencia :P

Quote from NotAnIllusion ::spyoda: Another Mansell, it will turn out to be

Right so 3 retirements, a 10th, a 4th and a win. Not bad considering :P

I'm positive he'll do okay, you can't really lose all of that talent he had tbh. It'll be interesting to see him duelling with Hamilton

Quote from Intrepid :Hamilton/Kimi/Schumacher/Alonso - could we ask for more?

Alonso won't be there in Valencia as far as we know remember.

Quote from tinvek :can't see it happening which is a pity in one way as it would be good to see if it was just the driver or a driver and car / team thing with torro rosso

Well in certain ways it's probably was his relationship with Toro Rosso. Not knowing if you're going to be driving for the team at the next race or not certainly wouldn't have been an easy thing to cope with.

As for Piquet it's a shame really, Briatore should be there giving him support not leaving with 10 laps to go at the end of the race just because your No. 1 man is out of the race.

Quote from ATC Quicksilver :Not F1, he has already ruled that out saying if he wanted to do it he would have done when he had the chance. I think he will get into rally a lot more, I'm sure Fiat would build a car just for him to drive.

Didn't they already supply Raikkonen with a car to compete in one of his rallies?

Quote from Mackie The Staggie :The tyre guy knew that the wheel wasn't correctly on and had not raised his hand to signify everything was ok, but the lollipop man had let the car go. It was a mistake, but still the team have a responsibility to ensure the car goes out with all bits firmly attached, Renault failed in that respect and a punishment is a natural conclusion...although as I have already mentioned, the penalty does not necessary match the crime

The thing is it was a pretty quick pit stop 6.4 seconds.

Taking off one wheel with the gun then putting another one on in that time isn't easy as well as raising your hand to alert the lollipop man. I'd really have liked to someone else in his position do it ...

Quote from 5haz :Well Donington seem to be in pretty dire straits at the moment, perhaps they can't afford to.

I think it's very possibly they are; paying for upgrades to the track for the 2010 British GP, as well as paying off some well know debts to Tom Wheatcroft for the lease of Donington Park.

Alll in all it wasn't that bad of a race, would love to have seen some more racing between the championship rivals

I'm not sure who it was that said there should be an age limit on the forum, but I disagree with you to an extent. As long as they act mature there shouldn't be a problem at all.

I know people of all ages that act immature, age doesn't matter regarding maturity. It does help in most cases but not all. Just thought I'd clear that up.

Regarding the demo users. I've personally no problem with any of the demo'ers, as long as they are respectful to everyone, then I'm sure everyone will give them respect back, it's just when they come on here and start going "omg why dont we get al th cars nd tracks" and random crap like that without using their bloody minds.

I can see why the stewards issued the penalty for the incident, but it wasn't Alonso's fault or really the teams, if they didn't have that stupid wheel covers then there wouldn't be a problem.

You can see in the replay footage of the pit stop the mechanic was checking it and the Lollipop man had already lifted it by the time he was able to react...

Fair enough that they should have told him straight away, but Alonso did spot it and slowed down. There have been worse incidents than this one. Why not suspend Brawn from a race, part of their suspension flew off yesterday and could have killed a driver ... There is absolutely no consistency in these rulings.

Quote from mclarenmatt :
Could he race for Ferrari though?

Fernando Alonso in a red suit

I see no reason why they wouldn't let him race for them, as long as Renault agrees to it. It'll be very interesting to watch if it happens

It's defiantly a nice sight to see those shiny McLaren's back at the front. Good job from Hamilton on his first win of the season, and Whitmarsh's first in charge of the team

Although it's a real shame about Alonso though, I thought he had a good chance at getting on the podium if not winning. It was also quite funny to see Briatore leave before the end of the race though, must have got fed up at seeing Piquet instead of Alonso , I presume this is the end of the road for Piquet now...

As for the Brawns, where on earth were they? They've really got to get their finger out if they still want to keep this championship alive. Hopefully over this four week break they'll be able to get their tyre problem sorted and we can possibly see Button & Barrichello back at the front, which will be interesting to see Button and Hamilton battling for position.

All in all not that bad of a race from Hungary, good job from Alguersuari on his debut, didn't put a foot wrong and had a reasonable pace. Let's hope he can keep it up and maybe out perform Buemi some more ... The question is will Buemi now get the boot

Kovalainen fastest in FP1 and Hamilton in FP2, De La Rosa in FP3 anyone?

Since Williams have stated that they're no longer doing their low-fuel runs in practice session anymore, this would suggest that they've really got some good pace here; Rosberg 2nd fastest in FP1 and Nakajima 5th and in FP2 Rosberg 3rd and Nakajima again 5th.

As Barrichello said on his twitter Brawn always does long fuel run in Friday practices and for every 10KG of fuel its about 4-tenths off the pace. So we've not yet seen the potential of either cars yet

Quote from 5haz :Well thats a bit unfair considering Bourdais has plenty of F1 experience while Jaime has virtually none.

Shhh I don't think anyone knows that

I know what you mean though, but I still think it's unfair Bourdais lost his seat due to lack or results... Or was it that . Anyway no point moaning about it we'll just have to see how Alguersuari does
