I know how to configure the setup to get the wifi. You set up the Ad-hoc network on the wireless card, then allow internet sharing on your main internet card.

I ordered the card anyways, even if it don't work I can use it for when mum finally does get wireless...

No my mum connects using a Wired connection, the laptop has the ability to become an access point but the ipod wouldn't connect to the damn thing, kept saying "connect timeout" or "cannot get access to the internet" grrr

Cheers for the help fellas, will try the lappy trick now... she has a crappy Acer laptop on Windows Vista, not sure on that OS but I'll figure out how to sort it

I'm with Virgin Media (sucky ISP), but mum said she would be looking into getting wireless in the future (future being May/June)... but I didn't fancy waiting that long but if she does eventually get it, i can use this card for that connection ... Me mum has a laptop so she already has WiFi capability on it

Well I'm running XP so I would think that compatibility shouldn't be a problem

Well I went to McDonalds the other day and they had an Adhoc connection, I managed to get onto their website but the connection timed out, I think I might have been out of range. My friend had gone onto their wireless with his Touch before so it does support it.

Hello, I recently got myself an Ipod Touch, however, I don't have a WiFi connection at home.

I have been reading up on Network Cards and apparently they can turn your PC into a WiFi access point.

Now I've seen a couple which take my fancy, but I'm not to sure on the website but I found one on play.com and I was just wondering if I bought this, would my Ipod be able to connect to it and access the internet that way?

Sorry for the late reply, my Graphics card is the EVGA 8800GT 512mb, Intel Dual core E8400 @ 3ghz, Pny ddr2 2x2gb ram.

I'm running the maximum resolution I can (1366x768) and full AA+AF.

I can't really understand what the problem is, it isn't as if my drivers are up to date either.

Hmm, you have virtually the same PC as I do (except you have an extra Graphics card) yet mine runs smooth as silk on maximum settings

What process are you running in the background and what crap have you got on your HDD that you don't need? :P

iirc There is a cap of some kind on the PC Beta, they just add a zillion points to the next level so you can't get there (at least that's what they've done to the weapons and gadgets)... although at least you won't have to play for hours again when you finally get the game

True, but I hate fiddling with the menus, so I just pull the plug from the steering wheel.... then forget to plug it back in when i wanna use it
