And one think about Car Sound Remixer. I take a ride with it, and I have to say that the sounds are not perfect but these additional sounds makes LFS a way more playable. The feelings that you are in a real car are much stronger.
For me right now working on car sound should be 2nd most important thing for the devs. Physic are of course the most important.
I'm wondering how the cylinder stroke is generated in LFS.
Looks like it is dynamically generated using engine capacity and other parameters, like engine type, etc.
Maybe there is some room for improovment.
One thing which is annoying me is: too less volume boost while engine braking. When I reduce from 3rd to 2nd in my real life car, the volume boost is really high, just lik when pressing gas pedal to the metal. But in LFS it is almost unnoticable. Maybe engine braking in LFS is tooo low but this is topic tor a different story.
Recently I tried to clear some things in polish translation and found one issue.
It happens when adding new audio track to the list. LFS gives it the name of Track X where X is incremented number.
This string is probably displayed with wrong codepage, because polish characters are corrupted.
Please see atached screenshot. Track name should have same characters as list title, but it hasn't.
Looks like it should be used at "Can't %s - ...", but I see that it is used on button in pits while spectating.
If it is used at "cant" then it should be splitted into 2 different strings.
Same with polish.
Looks like the game has problems when weather name consists of more than word.
In such case it displays also text from next button in the current button.
EDIT
Changed spaces into floors and the same. Scawen was right two posts before.
is there a possibility to read track configurations from the file header, before loading each track? Track will be loaded when you select configuration.
In this way we will have fast acces to the configurations. Weather could be loaded by default IMHO.
One thing to fine tune the dials. Please make it little bit smoother/delayed. The algorithm from steering smoothing should be the best.
Second thing I hope useful for all analog pad users. Is it possible to lower min wheel turn to 90 degrees? It will gave more non linearity for steering and make life little bit simpler for pad users. Pad sticks don;t have 180* of movement, and before introducing wheel turn option we were able to set up more non linearity than now.
I'm also wondering why there is no shadow in that view.
Wheels only mode can be without shadows, but in the internal and both external modes shadow has to be displayed, because it looks strange without it.
Do you know if there is available an image with LFS license template? Something like in the top right corner of LFS website, but in beter resolution or maybe vectored.
We have acces cards in our work office, and the back side is empty. Friend of mine is printing labels on it, so I can have non virtual license card.
