His parents are the ones who deserve punished. They were asleep instead of making sure their 6-year-old kid was getting to school.
No child of that age should be waking itself up, getting it's own breakfast and making sure it's out the door on time. FFS he deserves to be a child for a little while.
yes, but they didn't keep it in a safe place, they didn't teach him that it was wrong to take the car, and they weren't paying enough attention to their 6 year old child that he had the opportunity to go and do it.
I remember reading this yesterday (or this morning, I forget which) and thinking how can you learn to drive playing video games. Then I remembered that it is in America so he'd have been driving an auto. Although I don't recall the original story saying he crashed the car.
And I have to ask, is breakfast at school a normal thing over in the colonies?
My bad people, obviously did'nt read it properly. I thought he was older than 6. ^^
@ physchoman. It may be. Its quite normal here too. They used to do breakfast's at my old school, but you had to be at school by 7:30am, so no-one really bothered.
It's ok. I drove my Dad's car on an old abandonded airfield about 10 times from the age of 10 and only broke a tyre. (Gashed it on some rocks)
And then I crashed my Mums RAV4 into the side of a Volvo which decided to park right next to our car, even though there was plenty of space elsewhere...
Lucky guy....
I just drove my dads car parking in the garage and on a lil offraod straight (100m)
Prob for the L17 (license you can start making with 16, but your parents gotta drive whitya) is, that this car is autmatic^^
