There must be a real dearth of titles for the PS3.

Well, i payed nothing for mine because i WON mine! yay

At the Sydney Motorshow in the Nissan section, there was about 6 or 7 stations set up with GT5 on them, (They were nice as well, bucket seats, pedal rests, steering wheel mounts). I thought to myself, hmm i might give that a try but i couldnt find the line or entrance, so then i was like meh screw it, and went and started looking at the nissan GTR.

After about 3 minutes there were people all around me and i was like wtf keep your personal space. I then saw i was in what looked like a line so i followed it and then WTF... im in line to play GT5. SO i thought alright then ill give it a go.

When it was finally my go, i asked, "can i use a different car"?

She said, "which one".

"Ummm, porsche"?

"No"

So anyway, i raced my 2 laps or so then after i finished she said, "have you got this game" is said no, "well your todays winner". Im like yay. Then she gave me GT5 and i was like wooo.

I went looking for my parents and said, "see you thought computer games would never get me anywhere, well I (big emphasis on the 'i') just won a PS3 game."

So in conclusion thank you LFS and sorry for hijacking this thread.

cool btw there is no porsches EPIC FAIL lol
Quote from TiJay :I have a random question about the GTR in GT5... if ASM and TC are turned on, does that then reflect a GTR with the aids turned on and vice versa? Or does GT5 still simulate the GTR's computerised stability things even if the ASM and TC are turned off in game?

Along the same lines, does the transmission fall out of it when you try to use the launch control?
^no
so, is it worth buying?

Yeah i know that NOW...but not back then.
But there are RUFs IIRC. It's just Porsche being tight with their licencing.

FTR cars in GT5 are "stable", but you can actually spin out by lifting off, applying too much power, braking stupidly, catching a wheel on the grass, etc. It's much simular to GT3, ignore GT4.

I also found that when using the regular playstation controller, its hard to recover from oversteering as it takes the ingame steering wheel a while to respond to your steering input.
