Could try ObjectDock (the free version), but that has a bit of a reputation for eating resources.

Well after 3 years of not upgrading anything on my single core AMD Athlon64, I decided to make the move to a laptop. I bought an Asus X83VM-X1 from Ebay. Brand new, and with about a year of waranty left on it.

Processor: Intel C2D P8400 @ 2.26GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM DDR2 PC-5300
Hard Drive: 320GB SATA @ 5400RPM
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS 1024MB
Screen size: 14.1'' (1280x800)
Operating System: Windows Vista Premium 64-bit

Can't wait 'till the delivery!
Shame for the same price you could have bought a none-shit coloured Desktop which would have given you awesome performance for the same, if not less.

Gtfo and quad.

You know what...

Riders Motion, that's a lot of power in that small laptop! When I go to college in 3 years, I'll be looking for something similar, preferably with a strong cage like a Lenovo. I'm sick of moving this 17" gaming "laptop", but I do praise its gaming capabilities.

Well if I were you I would have a look at Ebay or Best Buy. This laptop is a Best Buy exclusive and sells for around 900$ US but I was able to get mine for 850$ US on Ebay. It's possibly the best bang for the buck and at 14.1'' it's small enough to be carried just about everywhere.

PS: Seriously, have a look at it.
Not in the market right now. My current 17" notebook was a Best Buy exclusive. The Gateway P-6831FX, powerful gaming capabilities in a $1100 price tag.

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 @ 1.67GHz
Memory: 3GB RAM DDR2 PC-5300 (2GB of it runs in dual channel)
Hard Drive: 250GB 5400RPM Western Digital
Graphics Card: nVidia 8800M GTS 512MB G92
Screen Size: 17" (1440x900)
Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit

If I decide to upgrade the CPU to a T8100 or a T9300, this thing will scream! Runs around 7k in 3DMark06, but people report close to ~9.5k with an upgraded processor.
Latest upgrade - second MX1000 mouse (got it for £4.50 )
E8400, 3 GB DDR2 800, 8800 GT 512 MB @680, 1512, 993 Mhz

Just found out horizontal span isn´t supported any longer by Vista, are you kidding Microsoft?
Here's the new machine and its specs:

As long as your PC run's LFS fine it's all good

Only reason why I "try" to keep my PC up to date is I play some of the new DX10 game's and am a high graphic settings + AF/AA whore

Post your "LFS" rig..
