So, me and my friends foundout a stupid subject to fight about in school again, this time its Rock band vs world tour(and other gh games). i own a World tour, and have played rock band 1 and in my option guitar hero is alot better. the drums feal more real, since it has 2 cymbals´+3toms+a pedal, and soon there comes double-pedal for it. also theres these ''drum rocker'' drums for both of the games that i might be buying when i get more money. i dont knnow so much about the guitar and mic since i mainly play the drums. What games you have and wich you prefer?

I prefer Rock Bands Song selection. GHWT seems to just follow all these "flavour of the months" and other kinda shitty music, whereas Rock Band has some properly good music.

well thats true, the song selection is better in rock band. but now when there is coming 8 new gh games, it doeasnt really matter.im deaffenetly going to buy the metallica game and im a big fan of metallica, so it kinda replaces the missing songs that are in rock band but not in gh when i get the metallica songs in it. also i noticed the game costs about 50-60e. then in live it costs about 1600 microsoftpoints, and you can buy about 3000 microsoft points by 50-60e. so if anyone is buying the metallica game i suggest getting it from live, you can download alot more songs too with the points left after the metallica game

EDIT: i think his isnt the same as the metallica original game, but this is the newst ablum i found

Ok, so instead of having good songs in the game initally.. they're making you basically pay 60$ for expansion packs.. that's pretty great you know.

actually, u get the metallica album by about 25e, i found 2100 points with 29e, so 4200 points with 60e. so it comes alot cheaper to get the metalllica album this way

Guitar Hero WT was likely a backstep in the GH series.
GHIII is still the best....
But its better then rockabnd i guess (didnt get to play rb with guitar...wireless and ps2 and sh!t)

RB's game is better thought out and the songs are *miles* better. They've spend the money on game developers to make it more fun, rather than on getting a pixellated Jimi Hendrix in which most people couldn't care less about.

GHWT, because F**KING harmonix has no intention to make Rockband available in asia.

Yeah 'cos real racing is too expensive and not easily accessible.... However, you can pick up a normal starting acousting guitar for £50 or something and have alot more fun learning it than tapping color buttons on a shaped guitar controller.....

It's a colour-matching game that just happens to have a theme of playing in a band anyway, not a simulation of guitar practice.

dude, no way you get a good playable guitar at that price. and also, playing drums,guitar or something else is kinda expensive. i find that many people cant just put 500e away into something. and rl racing is actually fairly easy to get to, just get a go-kart or smthing and go drive in a race, not really hard to sign up into a race and be there at the time

ive f*cked my gh drums. and lost this thing we call kuitti(dunno the translation, anyway you need it for warranty replasement). i cant open the drum pad, ive broke the red drum, and i can find a right size 6corner screwdriver to open it and see if theres something wrong with the sensor. that makes me hae to buy new drums, they cost 100e. then i tough that i could buy these

but they cost 300e so i am not gonna just buy them, does anyone here own this set(ION drum rocker)? the makers say it works with guitar hero too bu im asking how well it works with GH:WT and does it have any sensitivy issues or other bugs. its pretty costy so id like to know something about it before buying
edit: also it seems like i hit the drums pretty hard :hide: , so they should take my beating too

Get real and buy a guitar...lol low price guitar is best for starters because you dont know if you will play well. The player is the most important, not the instrument.
So dont make comparissions between track racing costs and low guitar/drums cost ok?

now you said it all. you can either play badass songs in Rock Band and gay songs in Guitar Hero, except in Guitar Hero: Metallica.

ok... but i have this problem, i live in a department. drums arent really a good choise to play here, and im not gonna buy electrick drums. i dont like playing with them if i have to play something for real, they just dont feal real. and im not that much into guitar, so im not buying that either. guitar hero is a good game if you want to play some songs without that much learning, of course it is hard and takes time to learn a song to play with expert but still, its just pure fun to play drums on expert
Senninha25, almoust true. the songs arent that popular that are in GH, havent never heard of most of em, but i just dont know how a song can be gay?(exept monsoon from tokio hotel that you have to play in the career mod once)

Midi drums are expensive.
But if they dont feel real how a ps3 controler with a bunch of colors will feel real?
No way, its just a game. You will learn nothing, maybe rythm but thats all.
Yeah its a cool game to play a few days until it gets boring. I dont understand why buy the guitar drums controlers, you can play with keypad.

Did you know, that the rythm is actually the point of playing the drums? you hit the drums repeatedly in a spefic beat. you can learn from playing gh drums, it also helps your bodys cordination skills. ive learnt a beat in gh and tested it on real drums, it works
also, it aint the same when your playing FoF with a keybad and guitar

Weve not played GH World Tour. But we have rockband and guitar hero 2.
I like the songs on guitar hero more... but I like the guitar from rockband much better. The frets on it are easier on my fingers than the button style GH frets.

I have GH:WT and really enjoy it, used it at a few parties and it's really good with a full band together. I do prefer the tracklist on rock band however, anyone know if the GH:WT drums are compatible with rock band as i wouldn't mind picking up the game?

As for the people saying 'learn real drums/guitar' have you ever considered that we simply can not be arsed to spend much of our time and money knuckling down for 2 months, after which, we can only do a bad rendition of 'when the saints go marching in'. WE buy GH and Rock Band so that after 5 minutes of practice, we can play along to the best rock bands in the world!
