That speedtest is the only place I ever get decent speeds. I tend to download at a max of 700kb/s and usually under 100kb/s

Either way, home I am using 30mbit/1.5mbit, downloading usually at speeds around 3.3mb/sec.

I seem to get the same crappy upload as all BT Internet users (in this thread)

But the download is only 0.04 Mb off what we are paying for

When my connection works fine it's great (6.5 mbit in the middle of nowhere). The only issue is that they throttle FTP and don't mention it which is... annoying.

The upload is what it is. It's down to the technical limitations of the Cable network. You are never going to get high upload speeds on a cable network. Just like with ADSL, the download/upload speeds will always be heavily asymetric. Just something you're going to have to accept basically.
