I'm not making this race guys, haven't been able to get on track and I'm swamped with work.

This is one of the Rules that has Changed. In the rules is now standing that the former "Pre-Qual" = Real Qual! This means that we are doing this for the race grid.

Must have missed the qualifying point, thanks for telling.
So what final decision about qual-pre qual?

for the test its PreQual=Real Qual. We will say at the race how we are going to do it in the race.
Another question do this league will be in spdo events database?
shame, can't make it to the testrace...having a important annyversary

as long as you make it to the actual races, its all good

I will try to be there but my brother might be a pillock and want to listen to Acorn on iGoons tonight, in which case, I won't be there

No, Acorn.

yes.
never ****ing mind.
I got taken out on straight, there was really small gap on the left and the driver decided to go there from my draft, and took me out by going there, instead of going to right side, where mainly the whole track was clear. :S
soz i wasnt there, totally forgot about it tbh, thought it was tomoroow night
The worst race ever.

My dinner is ready just Race 1 starts, so I miss that. I get back in time for Race 2, but my computer is changing the resolution setting on LFS by itself to 640 x 460 or smn stupid, so that takes like an age to fix.

I make the start of Race 2, all ready to go, and then I time out. I rejoin, about 3/4 of a lap behind everybody else. My front right tyre becomes too hot, and my left front becomes too cold, making it impossible to go through the chicane. Then I retired because I was just wasting my time

Apologies for Reno Kööts (VTiracing) For unintentional bump on the track

Race 1 - 8th
Race 2 - 10th

Im happy
I think that was test race and some peoples trained bit less because its test so we shouldnt need reports. Peace peoples :banana_ra

thats really a poor excuse.
Just an epic fail at the first race start - after seeing me on P1 they decided to restart. (me on the right)

After restart I was spinning out on P6 and had to pit. Race over actually.

The second one - well. Starting on P3 (reversed grid FTW!) I was kicked out and had to race at the back end of the grid. Was more fun, though. And only four tenths slower than the fastest lap in the race. This never happens.

I think that 89 laps at pre-qual should be enough...
But we need to warp up the admin team. Only one or two reports won't make 'em grumpy enough for the season. pirate:
Some surprising driving from some people, and some driving that was to be expected from others...

Overall, I had fun. In race 1 I hit Reintjan and fell into the gravel where my monitor promptly unplugged itself. A couple of laps later it happened again and I ended up last and a lap down.

After that, I started on pole for race 2. I knew I had good pace and expected to do quite well. I battled my way down to 5th. Then Felix and Krisjan had a collision and I took fourth. With a few laps to go, Kelvin and Reintjan had a collision while battling for the lead and ended up gifting me 2nd position. I tried to catch Felix, who was leading, but he was just too speedy. He made a couple of mistakes on the final lap but it wasn't enough but I finished a very happy second place.

I would say; a lot of today's crashes were caused through the help of lag. But that is no excuse. We all know LFS and how it works, and we know where lag crashes will occur. You need to be more patient and give more room. It's simple!

And here's the moment of the racing that surprised me the most...

Quote from khoianh94 :I think that 89 laps at pre-qual should be enough...

If one man drove 165 laps another 3 so that not helps we are going to have crash.
prequal isn't a very good indicator for practice. You can do over 300 laps in prequal and that doesnt make you good in racing with other guys, running a more understeery set with more fuel, and generally holding onto the tires.

More practice, with a race set, is what should be done. Limited prequal, and more practice.
