The wet kerbs saved him from a wong of mighty proportions
#52 - 5haz
Kerbs are usually painted with impermeable paint, this must mean that they collect water on top of them.

I know from this and also from experience that wet kerbs are very very slippery, how exactly would dropping the back wheel of the car onto the Kerbs save him?

Either way, nice save!
I think Sutil needs to be called DK from now on.

Saved the car gripping up and shifting the weight heavily causing a wong. He manages to slow a tad more before the rears gripped.
Quote from ATC Quicksilver :I'm just watching the playback of the first practice session on the BBC sport website and Andrian Sutil just did the most impressive drift I have ever seen in a modern F1 car.

It's probably the coolest thing I've seen this season, Sutil for the win.

meh his heart didnt seem to be in it

with a little more commitment he could have held the drift all the way through the following hairpin
Quote from SamH :
Qualifying 14:00

Race[/B] 14:00

Ah, damn you SamH, i thought these were European times And they are actually not in the same time acording to the F1 website, it says 19:00 for qualifying and 20:00 for the race, in my case.

Wouldn't he just compensate for it gripping with his right foot? I don't think he was lucky at all, the force india has always looks a really planted and easy to drive car.
Heikki did a similar drift in fp2

Doesn't Europe move to winter time tonight?
