If they locked it up they would only gain alot of moaning and bitching which at the end of the day is the opposite of what there supposed to do.
I was one of the "lucky" buggers who saw what kid was up to, what he tried to do was illegal (I'm pretty sure of it anyway) Also pretty stupid the way he got cought by Private Smith.
IMO he shouldn't be aloud back, yes he was pretty funny but the things he done sucked and those who want him back would be pretty pissed off if they fell for his little "trick". (Which in the end only cought himself out)

Kid tried to steal license details by but got caught by Bob. The sound editor thing was only something he posted with one of his many (banned) accounts on RSC to try and get back at the Devs.

no, he didn't, that was the excuse at the time, but it was ACTUALLY a link to the LFS Shop, which was NOT for public release, and Kid broke the Devs confidence
Because they didn't release it, it was a beta-tester only knowledge, they could have posted how to get it up, but they didn't, Kid did, and we can assume that that broke his NDA as a beta tester - they made it easier to acess because now it was no longer a secret, but giving it a long combination to get to should say something to you...?
Jakq - it wasn't an excuse, few people (not even the mods) new about Vic's new shop, so given its very WIP state at the time, it looked like a scam site. The user posting the link would not stop posting the link after I removed it, despite clear warnings. That user turned out to be a second account by kid. We really don't need such childish antics.

To my knowledge, Kid hasn't appealed, which proves he thinks the ban was a fair call, or was expecting it. It's possible he contacted the devs directly about it, but that's not the real issue since it wasn't the devs who banned him from the forums.

The LFS devs aren't the only devs to have suffered the Wrath of Kid. What goes on in the forums is only part of the story in one other case I know of (see avatar 
). It doesn't surprise me in the least to see that he conducted himself the same way with the LFS devs. I'm quite frankly shocked he was ever involved with LFS in any way.
