Wow, you've got serious supremecy issues, anyone who doesn't think like you is a liberal, and is "rent boy loving".
I don't know what's worse really, being an teenage kid echoing the dinnertable discussions he has heard or arguing with one on an online forum.

I think a little bit of arguing with one might be worthwhile.

FFS, its simple, if you are white, you can abuse the system, if you are "a foreign" you can't, is that so hard to understand?
Anglo saxons need to return to Scandinavia!...........Sorry I am a bit slow when it comes to modern news.

We are all decended from immigrants (I can almost garuntee it)
I remember watching a program about racism, this guy was a deep seated "damn them foreigns" type of guy.

They did some research, and it turned out, that not far down the bloodline, he was essentially middle eastern, the look on his face was priceless!!!
Be careful of going too far in the other direction guys - This argument is in danger of painting everyone single person who isn't white as flawless pillars of virtue which, be they black, white, brown or green, they patently are not.

Anyone with any sense knows thats not the case.

But thanks for bringing it to my attention
Quote from JohnPenn :My Uncle left Scotland when he was 18 and moved to Deal in Kent where he lived a long life and died an old man ,with his Scottish accent intact.

My grandad was from Skye, he lived in London from just after the second world war until he passed away a few years ago. He had a thick Scottish accent, but it would sometimes vary, sometimes being very thick (very hard to understand) to almost Queen's English.
Quote from JPeace :who was that aimed at?

Teenage kids who echo the dinnertable discussions they have heard and the people arguing with them on an online forum.

Quote from thisnameistaken :I think a little bit of arguing with one might be worthwhile.

It's like arguing with their parents by proxy. A faulty one at that. Add the traits of a faceless public medium like a forum and there you go, it's turned into "my family ideals vs the world". At best they'll probably ponder over it and use one of your own arguments (or a version of it) on their parents just to piss them off or to get a counterargument to use on you. So the most you can possibly hope for is indirectly influencing part of a teenage rebellion phase. Like a Cobain with less shotgun in the face.

PS. please don't (re)promote unbuttoned flannel shirts

This provoked an actual LOL

EDIT: In fact, siggdedded.
Quote from JPeace :no. french people trying to get into UK by anymeans

What an uneducated fool you are

There is freedom of movement within all EU nations (which in case you hadn't realised the UK and France both are). French workers are legally entitled to come here, work and claim benefits just like you can go to France to do the same. I think few French people choose to hang on the bottom of trucks to save £20 on a ferry ticket...
That is ****ing sick!
Seriously .....

Food for thought?

Well, that totally depends on where you are. In rural locations try finding an immigrant. In the cities, there are various areas where spotting the white man is a hard task. And of course immigrants come in all colours too. The west end of Newcastle has a very high percentage of Indians and Pakistanis, I used to live next to a school there, and you could count the white kids in the playground on your hands.

So if the people surveyed were in or nearby such areas, I can totally see why the perceived immigrant population is higher than the real figures.

I had a go in our trombone player's Twingo once, I would've preferred hanging off the bottom of a truck.
Quote from danowat :Euthamism?

We did explain the phrase "rusty trombone" to him once. It was embarrassing because it was in the company of our newly-hired, equally-oblivious, painfully-shy, female trumpet player. The other three of us were all "You tell him".
Quote from danowat :Euthamism?

I'm trying to come up with a clever joke re: this typo but... nothing.
euthamism n. -
1. hatred against people who just wont die
Quote from Shotglass :euthamism n. -

That's not bad.

Euthamism (n)
The potential of some sexual activities to have names funny enough to kill you.

While we're busy being bigots: Why is it that the gays have all the sexual activities with the funniest names? I can't help thinking it's because bumming blokes just isn't that much fun, so they have to be more creative than the rest of us.

Before I get leapt upon for that, I went to a gay pub quiz last week with one other straight person and a pub full of bummers (the gay man who invited us on to his team exclaimed 'Let's beat the gays!') but lost because all the questions were about tabloid-friendly celebrities and songs by Erasure. I still think bummers are alright though, but I still think it's funny to call them bummers. I just can't help it.
Quote from danowat :Euthamism?

Euthamism
-noun

[Greek euthama, a nice miracle : eu-, eu- + thama (θάμα), coloquial form of thauma (θαύμα), miracle.]

1. Performing miracles which are regarded as beneficial or pleasurable by others.

ex. Jesus became very popular after his euthamism with the wine.

but do they kill you in a humane and dignified way?
