the name of the car on the dash: it's nice to be somewhere on the dash, but could you maybe put it in the speedo, where normaly total milage counter is- that way, there would be more hight for the gear indicator & light section so you can set it up just under the LED bar.
i would really like to see gear light on the top, and indicator on the bottom and beneath that, you could put "remove borders" button, so that it would be in the "setup" and "exit" section.
Thanks
Lucky I got the source from Erazotropa (Bjorn)
Other wise this would be still on page 13 and not that compatible with Z25-Z28
Anyway as always, Got a suggestion? Post it!
If its a good suggestion that a lot of users would want, I'll make it..
Otherwise I'll modify and build a custom version just for you! (and anyone else who might use it)
Thanks for your quick updates.
I noticed that now the shift light flickers (forcing it on road cars).
Maybe it's because of new different drawing method, instead of getting the "on" input from LFS ?
Yep, I should have mentioned that as a known bug...
The way it works, Is that when it recieves a packet containing the rpm then it updates the RPM dial, When the RPM needle changes position it checks the car and the rpm. If the RPM is over (lets say) 7500 then it will show the shift light ON. So because its constantly recieving these packets its updating just as fast therefore causing it to flicker...
Working on an alternative way that should stop the flickering
Tried with a timer but still has a flicker I'll get it.. ______________________________________________________________
Would anyone use a version of this that was of 1024x768 in size?
Making a version for me as I cant be bothered to change my secondary resolution everytime I want LFS
If people could have use of it then I'll post a download link here once finished
im getting small samsung 7" lcd with 800 x 480. will this work ok or will i also need other resolution version?
yesterday my dash stopped working! when i start it, this happens- runtime error 713. you need the following file to be installed on your machine-- MSSTDFMT.dll?!?!!? it was working fine but now this?!
ok in the install folder, go into the INC folder.. now copy the path to the MSSTDFMT.DLL
open a command prompt (cmd.exe)
type(without quotes):
"regsvr32 [path to dll]"
eg for me its:
"regsvr32 C:\Program Files\VLFSDash\INC\MSSTDFMT.DLL"
It should work then... if not post other errors..
I'll fix the setup file so that it registers it for you, Seems I missed it out

About the screen, I think it may be too wide for that screen... Unless it has a higher resolution?
The normal Dash is 800x600, and the smallest I can manage to get is to was 750x590. Currently making a bigger version of 1024x768

Really no idea Works fine for me and others
Any other computers in your house to try on?
The only way I can replicate the runtime error 13 is if I modify the INI so that a value is obviously wrong...
WAIT!! Are you running the exe from within the INC folder? (Picture) So that all the ocx, dll, wav, ini files are in the same folder??
Also removing the ini file from the same folder as the exe causes the runtime error aswell
DavidTiger: did you upload that version with switched gear light and indicator? i can't seem to find it..
and what screen do you recommend for using this app? im trying to set my "working place" so this could be as close to real dashboard as possible. but it's hard since no small lcd screen has 800x600 resolution
I've experienced a little problem with the latest version (the one with the working shift indicator/top speed etc.)... In essence, the Turbo Pressure gauge lags quite badly. The other gauges work smoothly.
I'm on Win 7 Ultimate 32bit, if that matters. With the previous versions, it all worked like a charm...
(p.s. could you please make also widescreen resolution, e.g. 1280x768? That would be really nice =D )
EDIT: Problem sorted out now, IDK how, but it works xD
