Car 58 makes light contact with 24, which causes 24 to slide right into 58. Car 58 and 24 have lag during the contact, sending both spearing off. Car 58's contact was relatively minor in this case, and the major spinning was caused by lag. Car 58 is however issued a WARNING to be more careful about proximity to other cars.
Car 01 lunges into T1, makes an overtake, slides wide, doesn't accelerate at standard point, then contacted by #24 who cannot react in time. Racing incident.
Caution to both drivers for failure to leave sufficient racing room. Car 24 holding a line, but ever so slightly going towards the right. Car 01 seems to expect 24 to go further left. No other penalty.
Car 01 warning for avoidable contact.
The incidents, and the language exhibited from driver of Car 01 at the time has earned him GTAL probation until the end of the 2010 GTAL season.
Car 78 had no externally visible signs of car trouble at the time of the incident. Drivers are requested to stay as far off the racing line as they can when their car is unfit for driving at racing speeds, and also signal pit entry or signal that they are slow.
Team managers should also relay via IRC to other team managers the fact that their car is in difficulties. The administration will also attempt to relay these types of messages, but the drivers and teams with the problem still also bear responsibility.
