Go the commercial vehicle route. You don't get all of the same insurance perks, but the insurance is really cheap so you can afford to do business. And it still leaves you with some cool options of vehicles. VW Caddies, or a 2WD mini trucks (Rangers and the like) which you can then slam, etc. It's all good.

Yeah, same here. About 110 euros insurance for my ex-535i and my 325i. And if I write my bimmer on my parents name, insurance will be about 25 euros per year, which I most likely will do on my next car. :P
It is the road I went down. I could have got a Ford Escort Estate 1.8D insured full comp for two thousand five hundred of my Great British Pounds. Or get the Ford Escort 55 Van 1.8D insured full comp for five hundred of my Great British Pounds.
