Whats with all these street circuits built in reverse? Seems to be the craze to build a circuit and then a city around it, clearly because simply running an F1 racing circuit for that purpose only can't be profitable anymore due to the excessive costs imposed upon organisers.
He means the track being built, then the city round it to make it a street circuit. How can you reverse a track before it's built? Wouldn't that just then be the right way round?
I think reverse as in, going against the correct flow of traffic, but it doesn't make a difference as just cos you know the roads doesn't mean that you will have an advantage when it comes to pushing the limits
Sorry, say that again? I literally didn't understand a word of that. You're saying something about a driver knowing the roads so getting an advantage when it's turned into a track? What?
Sorry I mean reverse as in instead of having a city and building a street circuit in it, first having a circuit and building a city in it. It only makes F1 feel more ike an artificial playground for the rich and less like a top flight international racing championship. All the result of Bernie passing his huge debts to pay onto race organisers and the like.
I'm just saying what I thought was trying to be understood, it's not my opinion. You did understand what I said aswell, as you comprehended everything I said and re-wrote the gist of it.....
The thing is, your still fighting for the scrappage from a rather narrow viewpoint, i.e. your pocket. At which point you turn round and go, yea, where else should I be looking at it from. But, as a conservative socialist myself I urge you to look at the bigger picture. BBC content, reportage, programme making, editorial techniques, procedures, heritage, factual content and (lest we forget) entertainment quality is exported around the globe. It is a globally respected and loved corporation. Commercial Media does not work from a social aspect. The bbc has the largest market share of continious usage of all the major network controllers. It's a national entity that we should be rightfully proud of and happy to pay for. It's unique, special and above all loved. I'm listening to it right now whilst typing this. Everything has a value. My sanity and my desire to not be advertised at is equal to if not more than the licence fee.
I ask you to pay your share because whilst you may not realise it, you also take in BBC content. Whether passivly on the radio in the work van, or maybe activly when you watch a certain news bulletin or comedy sketch show. I ask you, to carry on your payment so that the majority of the UK population (and the world) can enjoy good, factual, entertaining, bias free media coverage.
If you choose to opt out of the BBC license fee, do you mind also opting out of council tax, National Health, A large majority of your income tax and most of your road tax as well please. Because you don't use every available service paid for by those.
The alternative to a less well funded BBC is not a good one. I for one, will continue to support it.
And apparently there is a F1 race tomorrow. Something about a Brazilian and a leg wax. I dunno.
