2 hours in and it's pretty awesome. Feels like an FO3 expansion pack which is not bad at all. Level 4 now and I'm still shit. More tomorrow
I found out the hard way there's a limit to the casinos. I love playing dumb.

Not got a full caravan deck yet. Cards are a pain to buy/steal

I'm playing more tactically and had a discussion on Steam about overkill weapons. Both agreed on the thumper. Legion hates me, NCR loves me, Brotherhood like me
Brotherhood are all dead
Quote from TehPaws3D :I've found everything, And completed it twice ( What can I say, Modern warfare 2 on veteran took a hour, And online to get to 60 took 6 hours so.. meh )

Still, Greatly fun game, Will have to look I alot of places I skipped.

Anyone use wild wasteland perk besides me? I love the shoutouts and stuff
Next playthrough I am.
I got too many side quests i taken up and gotten like to 75% before i accidentally started a new one. I think i glitched the one mission where you have to go to the basement of a fort in the legion and destroy something because i had killed the guards in that building and fought my way out the legion territory killing Caesar in the process. i Spoke with yes man, but it still says the quest isnt done.

I also had a HUGE scare about 30 minutes ago. I was walking way off the road over by bitter springs and those train tracks deep in the night (about 2 am and i have that darkness mod and graphics overhaul. so its WAAY more darker and realistic) when i got ambushed by a pair of deathclaws. Probably woke the neighbors in the process.
I played it through on Hardcore Mode and got the Yes! Man ending.. didn't take long as I rarely did side quests lol

Gonna start a new game now and try and get something different
Aaaaalright... first thoughts were "meh, it's good enough", now I'm holding off what I suspect is the end game mission (I'm not going to Hoover dam before im done with everything)...

I must say, this is pretty awesome. Use hardcore mode (it's not that bad as some people make it sound) + wacky wasteland perk (also not as goofy as they make it sound) and just explore stuff at the moment...

What I noticed instantly though, it's that the developers definetly played through Fo1 and Fo2 before making this one, many monsters re-appear (geckos, spore plants, mantis, nightkin) you can even have a talk about the Fo2 protagonist with one of his companions (makes an appearance here)

Best moments I can remember so far

1. Figuring out what happened in Vault 11. << SRSLY, one of the better vault tec experiments stories IMO
2. "Well, I might as well test you before handing you over" line when programming the protectron for James Garret from Atomic Wrangler. << I laughed my a** off at this one.
3. Being chased through Freeside by a mob of angry grannies wielding rolling pins. You have never heard so much profanity towards an untimely broken minigun, I guarantee.

There were many more good ones, but those are more "awesome long range '50 cal headshot" and "yeah, this is pretty cool/funny/good" moments...

p.s: I Like how they re-balanced the combat, I remember taking on a pack of deathclaws in Fo3, this doesn't happen in FoNW.
I laughed my ass off at the fridge with the fedora reference. I wear it, Rex goes nuts

I helped Cass out by reverse pickpocketing the Van Graffs. Fun times. I don't get why Nightkin go for me at Nellis
I keep getting raped by deathclaws. They're impossible right now. I do have like 15000 caps, and haven't bought anything yet. I'm gonna go back from my save at the hoover dam, and back to new vegas so I can get some ****ing weapons. I'm stuck with no ammo.

Slightly disappointed that I hvaen't found any "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" references.. it should have almost been a given.
Grab the Gobi rifle

GMG (Grenade firing MACHINE GUN), ammo, armor
well, I can go buy anything I want
IIRC you can't BUY the Gobi rifle

You do however need 100 lockpick to get it
shit. Oh well. I need to go horde ammo and weaponry.
have fun

Is it worth using NCR stuff?
I wouldn't know. I sided with Señor House

When (or where) can you get the .50 cal sniper. I think I've seen it in the shack at the Gun Runners, but no option to buy it.
I picked mine up on the hoover dam, but it has so much sway, even when crouched that I would have more luck throwing the bullets.

there IS an option to buy it. A VERY VERY useful purchase by the way. Could do with the "Jury Rigging" perk too, so you can repair it with regular hunting rifles and similar stuff... Just search for "Anti - Material rifle" not "50 cal sniper rifle or anything similar sounding" :P

Zeug, how much is your guns skill? I do feel a bit of sway (tiny bit) at a 100, but it doesn't really bother me (I only use it for medium to long distances)

On topic of fun times though, if you stop by 188 traders (or something like that) GET VERONICA AS A COMPANION! Great character with awesome dialogue XD

P.S:
Quote from DieKolkrabe :Grab the Gobi rifle

I've left it at the sniper shack, how much better is it than a regular sniper rifle, and do mods from sniper rifle fit the gobi?

Maybe my character isn't awesome enough yet. The biggest I could buy was the service rifle I think.

remember, it's called antimaterial rifle, I didn't find it at first too. Service rifle is s**t, dont even bother :P
More damage (one shot Nightkin with it with guns maxed out), can't mod it but ggoing by stats it is pre modded

Service rifle's okay, full auto please

If it's not quiet then there's no real point in having 2 loud scoped rifles in the inventory I'll stick with 50 cal for going loud and silence a regular sniper then.

Thanks for the info.
Silenced varmint rifle works great with the scope, I keep it handy to get the first shot and then break out a gun.

Gobi's quieter than the AMR though, I keep both around as fifty ammo is scarce in my playthrough.

Keep a scoped 9mm or sell? I keep a melee weapon handy at all times

Something about the Kings makes me laugh.
