When I used to play LFS on CTRA or whatever the one after it became, on a server of 45 people I could race bumper to bumper (normally I was leading by miles though I would like to add
) and bump people etc and none of us would go flying off into the stratosphere.
Then again I may have just configured wireless properly and also been aware of interference of other things so planned accordingly. Wireless on it's own is brilliant. People put microwaves, satellites, other wireless devices, etc in the vicinity (normally the same room) and then complain. It's not the wireless, it's them!!
In my experience anything more than about 50 meters of RJ45 cabling can give problems, especially if these cables run past electrical devices such as lights or main power cables.
Wireless is a pretty good solution IMO, especially for home users who don't want cabling running about everywhere.
Currently my internet solution is either my Blackberry or one of those wireless USB dongles. We do have Sky 20mb but that's getting activated on the 22nd of December so until then, we're using this.
I've run that test several times and all gotten within 99% of each other. Not bad eh considering it would work in the middle of a field.
