GGE909 PC Controller. Help Please :)
I have a GGE909 PC Controller that I use. The only problem I get in game is steering, Whenever I steer the car will use all of its force and VERY quickly turn to the side I steer. I cant figure out how to lower the force on the steering, because whenever I steer my front tires will skid. But when I use my keyboard the car does not skid at all. Help would be great! Thank you
Uhm, try the wheel turn compensation, and adjusting the sensitivity or something.
If its too sensitive,

try Controls >> Wheel Turn 90 deg
try Controls >> wheel turn compensation 1.00

try Misc >> analog steer smooth to 0.95 (the highest possible value)
The higher the number the slower the wheel turns around.
(I use about 0.8 which is quite responsive, but not too twitchy for me)

You must remember that LFS is a sim. Imagine trying to drive a real car with a control pad. You have to control 720 deg of movement in 10mm of movement. It's going to be twitchy what ever you do. Arcade race games LET you steer full lock and the front wheels don't slide understeer, they are designed to behave unrealistically.

The reason why Keyboard isn't so bad for your slide cornering understeer is because it (KB) slowly turns the wheel so the car can start turning before the steering lock gets too big and begins a front wheel lockup/slide. The same effect (slow turning of the wheel with large input) is gained from joypad by increasing analog steer smooth to 0.95
Sorry for the huge topic bump here, but I have already done everything sugjested in this thread along time ago. Its bad enough to slow me down a whole second a lap, and really kills me in longer races or in any RWD car. Oval racing is difficult for me, though I still am able to do it, and my tires get destroyed rather quickly in anything any where.

Anybody who could help any better than what these guys in 2008?
If your tires getting destroyed quickly you might turn too aggressively or break/accelerate too hard.
Taking corner with a little slide etc
The key is smoothness and keeping grip when turning as well as braking.
I had this problem until I downloaded this skid sounds those skids sounds are a lot better and louder than standard and I can hear when my tyres starting to lose grip much earlier than with standard sounds.
As a side effect i developed more or less skidless and clean driving style you definitely should check them.

Also you should give more details what are you using as a controller (I assumed you use the mentioned above controller if yes then, do you use analog input for steering, braking and throttle or digital) what kind of tyres etc.
But if you doing everything properly and still have tyres overheating problem its very possible its your driving style to blame.
I know, that stuff, and I am able to manage it a little bit, but the main issue is that when I want to turn about 1 degree to the left for a period of time greter than a second I have to turn between 5 degrees and 0 quickly keeping the average right in that area. I use the controler listed above. Here's a hot lap of mine which illistrates my issue (bring up the sterring tab)
