It was never presented as a tank sim. Sims, like LFS, are made for a small amount of people. There are elements of realism in WoT, but to a point of staying playable. Pretty good game.

If WoT was going for realism, games would consist of three Tigers (one of which has randomly broken down) sitting in some woods for two weeks one-shotting wave after wave of Shermans and T-34s from 2km away.

Apparently there are some special bonus codes flying around. Basically if you watch the streams (now) there are some barcodes that appear which you can scan:

I don't know for sure if the codes are for wowp or wot but I'd imagine they work for both as wg are planing to have one type of gold for both games.

1. the codes are shown on the wot live stream here:

2. The codes come up in the beginning of the blue shows in this schedule:

(so today friday the codes will appear somewhere at 12:30, 14:30 and 17:30 cest.
3. The codes are hard to miss if you watch the stream. To use the code, take a screenshot of it and crop the code out from the background using mspaint for example. Save the image as jpg and upload it to here for example to get the url:

4. Go to the url, put in your wot account email address and receive free gold.

The codes expire rather fast so you need to use the url rather fast after it has been posted or you will miss it.

Menaged to get a WOT bonus code which gives FCM36 Pak40 (French Tier III TD), 3 days premium, one garage slot and 300gold. Also got World of Warplanes closed beta acces code. Wasn't easy

Your finger dexterity must be over 5000 to get those codes used before someone else uses them.

How did you get 600 golds? I put my email in 2 different qr-code links and then later received 2 emails, but both of them had the same bonus code, so I got only 200 gold.

Yesterday was a disappointment though. Watched the stream all the day but didn't manage to get any bonus code. Seems like some people (Amynue) are just uber fast.

I got three emails and each one gave me 200 gold. Those two I posted here gave 200 each and one I spotted earlier gave me 200 more. I have no idea why you did not get 200gold for each link...

Edit: apparently the QR codes now appear randomly so you need to watch the stream all the time.
