Why?? [no updates since P2]
Why dev crew dosen't release anythin new since Aug. 7th? No change of sounds (start engine) or other minor updates...
Because they just barely got S2 out, they have been working their rear ends off, dont expect updates every week, but maybe every other month, 3 months...whatever they feel like.

Oh, and you would get a HUGE update if you upgrated to S2 :P
the devs deserve a break... they worked hard on lfs s2 so they need time off to spend some time away from the game and more with their families....

think people are gettin too impatient.... first people couldnt wait untill s2 was out now already people are moaning about further updates... GIVE THE GUYS A BREAK ....... i am sure full s2 is heading our way soon

mad
Well they usually release something month in month thats surprises me.

Why don't you buy so that the devs can get paid for what they do?

Good Point Tooby! Very good point!

Err...since when? Sorry but I've never known the dev's release anything every month for a long long time
your first 2 posts complaining about no updates? *insert rude words here*

Don't judge people by the forum-title. I own the S2 license and still have that "Demo racer"-title.

Im new here and haven't had time to get boared. After getting into the forums and reading tons of post and information i learned of the developers and how the game came about. I decided to purchase the game partly beacuse its has amazing car physics and because the developers deserved to be paid for what they did.
Im glad the demo exist but i sometimes think if they would have made it to where it ended the full version sales might increase. I to stand on the side of giving them a well deserved break. I would rather get a big update than say one vechicle...............................just a newbie thoughts..............Maz!

What am i speculating, i meant if he went from demo to S2, it would be a huge update to him...Sarcasm... haha
We did get the home improvement report. I enjoyed that thouroughly
Ya the home improvment shows that the devs have a life get over it, let them do what they do best when they are able, I also enjoyed that update! But yes they certainly need a break and tending to their own lives before they should strain their eyes for our enjoyment. Happy racing!

no you dont
Think of the situation like this:

If you spent nearly a year on building a home, and finally finished it as a 'stable' house that others can live with, wouldn't you want to take a break from all the hard work? Like spend the other half of your life on.... life???

Which is why updates aren't coming out as often as they normally do. Haven't you seen the update of Scawen fixing up his kitchen and working around the house?
I wouldn't ask for anything untill christmas. Yeah, that's three month.
I wouldn't give you anything at christmas either, cos you didn't ask very nicely

...except maybe a smacked botty...
Respect the traditions!

Quote from nuggetz :I appreciate the fact that the devs need some time off after S2 but it's not like they gave us S2 for free. We all bought it and expect updates once in a while. And count me among those who feel that waiting 3 months in between updates is too long. I mean there are so many little things to add and improve that would keep us interested. Especially with all the rF hype and lots of people playing that now. I think any type of update or improvement would be very welcome.

says someone with demo? how can you even demand update since you ROB the devs?

I think you'll find the demo was made available free of charge from Scawen inc., so technically it can't be robbing, can it?
Mind you, 'without a leg to stand on' is what comes to mind with the argument that someone demands updates when they haven't even purchased a licence.
I'm perfectly cool with what we've got now. Anyway, why can't we just wait for Christmas and have a big update then as our pressie? Oh then again, I don't want the devs to be busy during the Yuletide days. :S

If you bought it, why is your status demo racer?

Regardless of you owning it: I don't think you comprehend the workload that the devs have put in. 15 hour work days for 2 years, how does that sound to you?
We got S2, and it is great to be honest the devs deserve all the rest-up they want. They have already earned my £24 upteen times over.
I dunno, the guy has a point..... Scawen & co. could easily afford to have a
contractor work on the house. And who really cares? that's NOT OUR problem
We should have had at least 3 updates already. It doesn't matter what they
are so long as they are updates!!!!!!!
We DESPERATELY need an update to fix...... to fix....... To fix.....
Uh could someone help me out here?

Really though. These guys have been busting their ass and putting up with a
ton of B.S. for what 3 years? If people want to go and play this Rfactor or
whatever - so what? They need to make an update because another game came out? LOL I've only experienced one Bug that I know of. And to be honest, I thought it was cool. (some bug removed the front fenders off the LX's ... made them look really cool)
And it was very minor and could easily be fixed by the user.

You know, the only real update I think LFS needs is a patch that installs Driver etiquette into users via a subliminal message in the start menu.
Trouble is, I don't think that's possible and if it was, I doubt it would be legal.

Besides, I remember a while back (in S-1), the devs were slinging out patches like every 5 minutes..... Ok once every couple of days.

It was nice of them to stay on things like that, but to tell the truth, it
was also kinda annoying installing all the patches all the time, but they
were needed or they noticably improved the game when installed.

I don't think there really is much that needs fixing or patches to make this game perform any better.
As a consumer, I'd would rather them take a break from the routine, take care of other things and then attack the game with a fresh perspective.

Speaking from experience, constantly keeping your nose to the grindstone doesn't do anything besides mess up your face.

And also, what do we need an update for?
