As most of you already know new patch will bring 3D support to LFS. So I want to talk a bit about 3D technology and 3D monitors, mainly to educate myself and rest of 3D noobs
I figured it's better to create a separate thread rather than post in another thread where is a bunch of non-related spam.
I don't have 3D monitor, but might buy one if it's really that cool currently when I select 3D view I get half screen from one eye view and other half from the other eye view.
So as far as I understood what 3D monitors do is they take one half of my current screen and stretch it to full screen, polarize light and after 3D glasses I see it only with
one eye, while the other half of screen is also stretched, opposite polarized and after all this stuff I see it with my other eye. Right?
Let's assume I'm playing with windowed LFS, what's with taskbar and other stuff around LFS? Will I see it normally or my left eye will be able to see strictly left side of
screen and right eye right side of screen? Do you have to manually enable 3D each time you want to play LFS and disable it after finished?
Because LFS is effectively using half of screen, that means resolution is decreased while playing in 3D. For example I play in 1920x1080 so after slicing it into two pieces I
get 960x1080, or is there some way to make it real 1080p (like set 3840x1080 in LFS)?
Do I actually have any clue about 3D?
