Never mind, I was thinking of a different incident, That one was my fault.
That was great, expect the 7th lap

My aim was to complete the course without smash my car, and try to hold up T. Arrends, C. Redman and S. Baker. They were much faster than me but somehow I had better place at the start ...
I got almost 1 sec in every lap, maybe thats why I failed

The SC came in time, because my front right tires started to catch fire.
During the slow run, I realied that, just the half of the distance is gone, So, in the end, I can't make a hard left turn.
Unforunatly S. Baker cought me in the 31. lap. I couldn't fight cuz my tires were a little bit red
So, I needed to peace with my 5. place.
I was semi thankful for the safety car, I was JUST starting to get my tires temperature down, but then the restart caused me to lag out.

same here, tyres were dead, and fuel shoulda been a bit higher, but i cruised behind the safety car at 50 mph in 5th gear as my tyres cooled
I gave myself an extra 3.6% of fuel to be safe, to compensate for Safety car, my math skills, and any other things.

i do fuel per lap + 0.1 * no of laps then + 1, but i knocked a few % off by accident!
What the heck was I thinking, the incident that occured wasn't even in any of the rounds I can think of, I just remember a XRT driver sliding, then me having to bodycheck him into the explosive kerb. I'm reviewing all my replays to find it.

EDIT: I found it, Feature Race, Lap 1, Final Corner, Between Me and #7. He ran wide and I could not have avoided him.

lap 2, main race
Lap 2 for you maybe, I was still on lap 1.

EDIT: After some review, I call it Racing Incident, He ran wide, I slid a bit.

sorry, i remember it, but i didnt remember the lap number, i just knew it was at the start
I need a rewind feature! Almost done compiling enquiries for SC, so the list will be up tonight.
Becky, Scawen says he's working on that for one of the Uxx patches, so don't worry
Quote from Becky Rose :I need a rewind feature! Almost done compiling enquiries for SC, so the list will be up tonight.

ditto! and we need a 100x one, i forgot to right down the results, so i have to go through it all over again!
Before I race again, I have to find the source of lag that I suffered at the start of all 3 full-grid starts. I looked at my own replays, and it's beginning to look like a graphics or CPU problem. The replay is fine except for one bizarre thing.. my OWN car lags.. in MY mpr. I've never seen that before, but I was faced with <1 fps almost all the way to the first corner.

Apologies to anyone I hit or got in the way of, off the starting line.

Apart from performing atrociously in the race, I thoroughly enjoyed the evening. I predict that this is going to be a really enjoyable league!
This was originally writen for being added to the [MG] site, so expect lots of references to them!

STCC

The STCC is a racing league which specializes in the TBO cars (XRT, FXO and RB4) battle around a wide variety of LFS circuits, complying to stringent regulations, and even contains a safety car, which is then shown in a specially recorded 15 minute broadcast after each event. [MG] currently have two members in the STCC league, Jakg and Minimax, both competing in [MG] liveried FXO’s.

The race format is of a short sprint race (along the lines of 10 minutes) for each car class (so three, one for the FXO, one for the RB4, and one for XRT), the top finishers of each race get to go in the main feature race, whereas the others go into a second smaller support race. The main race is preceded by a small (along the lines of 10 minutes) race which decides positions for the main race.

Round one

The first STCC race was held at SO2, or South City Sprint 1 as it is also known, 1.3 miles of grueling tight twisty track set in the middle of a large town. This track is fastest driven in the FXO, although both the XRT and RB4 are never far behind. In the single class heats the FXO race was dominated by [MG]’s own Jakg, under the name of J Green, who in the end won, the XRT race was won by a D Horvath (racer name Horci), while the RB4 race was won by T Arends (racer name Thommm, who coincidently holds the WR for SO2 in the RB4). Unfortunately [MG]’s Minimax was unable to attend the event.

Then came the sprint race, 10 laps with 12 drivers all eager for victory, [MG]’s own Jakg qualified first, closely followed by the XRT of D Horvath. Off the line the rear wheel drive XRT had the advantage, and took the lead to the first corner, however Jakg managed to get the power down out of the corner quicker and leave him for dust, towards the back of the field most cars went through turn one side by side with another car, no car managed to complete turn one without contact, but everyone managed to keep in a straight line, although Dustin Dawes did overshoot the corner and have to reverse out of parc ferme, and carry on racing. On lap 5 an overtaking maneuver gone wrong left Dustin Dawes and I Strobe (from team Itek) spun out, however apart from that the positions stayed the same and in the end the race was won by Jakg.

This lead us to the big thing, the 33 lap feature event, the race was poled by Jakg, with S Baker sitting in second (racer name Bean0), due to the RB4’s and XRT’s superior methods of power delivery, both R Sherborne (Rob 76) and D Horvath (Horci) in an RB4 and XRT respectively managed to pass poor old S Baker, and once at turn one T Artends also managed to force his way down the inside, once again Dustin Dawes overshot the corner, leaving him dead last, however he soon managed to overtake M Hayward (MKServe), and once he started turning into the start finish straight he squeezed B Islam into a wall, spinning it round, leaving B Islam last, and S Hopkinson (SamH) had to swerve across the track and into a wall, as he started from the pits and came out into the middle of race traffic. By this time the race leader, Jakg, was off into the distance, leaving S Baker to take back second, however on lap 2 he was accidently spun around Arends nose, taking him from fifth (he had lost second a corner before) to eleventh. S Hopkinson late braked too much on lap 3, running into the back of I Strobe, leaving both spun by the side of the road. After the third lap the positions settled down, leaving most position changes down to accidents. By lap 11 Jakg had managed to lap a wayward Hayward. Lap 11 gave a minor incident with a kerb to wreck Hopkinson’s suspension, causing a larger incident with the same kerb next lap, which lead to his retirement a lap later. This brought the safety car out; this eroded all of Jakg’s lead, leaving the field in one long line. For the FXO drivers the effects of 234 Horsepower and steering had taken their toll on the front tyres, and by the time the safety car appeared the tyres were overheating, however luckily following a 50 Mph safety car managed to let them cool down ready to attack the road again. As lap 20 started the safety car was gone and the race went back up to speed, leaving Jakg in first and C Redman (R3dman) in second, unfortunately Hayward had incorrectly fuelled his car, so he ran out and had to retire. This left Jakg and Redman battling for first, Jakg managed to keep this position until the last corner of the last lap, when a wheel re-calibration issue meant that Jakg crashed, and this let Redman through to win, leaving Jakg to finish second, a full second behind, making the finishing order:

1. C Redman
2. J Green
3. T Arends
4. S Baker
5. D Horvath
6. P Galaske
7. R Sherborne
8. I Strobe
9. A Hepp

The fastest lap was set by Jakg in his FXO, and was 56.37

I saw that SamH, you threw me off, I was like "Holy crap, what is this guy doing?!!" Threw me off a little, but not enough to cry over.

EDIT: For Becky

Appeals may be made against any decision, as the STCC forums are down I recommend the LFS forum Private Messaging system for now.

A note on the forums
Hopefully back up by mid-next week. This final piece of 'maintenance' will then give us a 99% uptime guarantee. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have to protest that one, The way I saw it was he ran wide, and I had nowhere to go, nor sufficient time to react.
Objection noted Dustin, the stewards will discuss the L1 Station Bend incident.
Thank You

disagree - I pulled across without looking and he didn't react enough, I say racing incident
Lap 33 The Junction - Objection by victim car, automatically sustained.
Also, on a semi-unrelated note, I see that on the STCC entries page, Mine is the only one that is incomplete. I was just reminding you in case you have forgotten to upload or do mine.

It's a fair cop

I knew I couldn't make the corner, after missing the 100 sign and mistaking the 50 sign for it. I tried to get behind car 4, and into the run-off, but locked up brakes and lost control. Apologies to car 4.

thank you - just thought id point that out seeing as a warning is a bit harsh seeing as when he was behind me he was perfectly clean
