All Rounder Championship Round 8 recap
All Rounder Championship Round 8 recap

The results posted above are confirmed as official

For our third slick tyre race in the series we had a classic GTR combo of FZR on Kyoto GP Long for 21 laps. This attracted 16 drivers who set a laptime in qualifying plus a few more late joiners who were allowed to start from the back due to them being well known competitors who have previously scored points in our events.

The fastest time in qualifying was set by the current standings leader Thehemuli. He was joined in the front row by MadJester, while the other Zafiralis driver Motimoukari took the third grid position. The next four starting positions were conquered by Race Green: Nosle was fourth, Rony fifth, Maciek sixth and Lorenzo seventh.

The start was surprisingly clean, other than a few cars going wide on to the grass at turn 3. Motimoukari was one of them and he fell back to fifth. There was also a very slight contact between three cars in turn 4, which resulted in S. Martin having a costly visit to the gravel making him lose his chances of a good finishing position. On lap 3 there was more drama as Motimoukari and Gábor both went wide at the same corner at the same time resulting in race ending damage for the S1dus driver and further loss of positions for Motimoukari. After a few laps it looked like it was going to be a three way battle for the win: Thehemuli was leading with Nosle and Rony following close. They all led the race at some point, but there was a fourth competitor for the win: uNite started from the back of the grid but was constantly gaining and caught up the leading trio by the halfway mark of the race. He even managed to briefly take the lead from Nosle on the start of the last lap before going wide in the first turn, gifting the lead back. uNite gave it a go again on the run up to the finish line but fell just 0,02s short making Nosle our sixth different winner in 8 rounds. Thehemuli was third, while Maciek was fourth following a mistake on the last lap by Rony which dropped him to fifth. Other cars to cross the finish line were MadJester in seventh, jsk in eight and T. Soini in ninth position.

We still have one round remaining in Kyoto, which will feature a track suitable for dirt tyres. More info on that will be posted later. If we take a look at the quarterly standings, we can see that two drivers are very close to each other in the top positions. uNite leads Rony by just a single point. Thehemuli and Maciek are tied for third eight points behind the leader. After round 9 we will see who gets to decide the venue for the final three races in our first edition of All Rounder Championship.

At the end of the season the top 5 points scoring drivers will be awarded monetary prizes totaling to 150€.
It looks like Thehemuli is getting away in the standings, but drivers from second to seventh are all within 22 points, so the fight from the top 5 positions should be close until the end. Full championship points, quarterly points and statistics can be found here.

There are still 4 more rounds to go in the series, so if you are interested be sure to join us every first Monday of the month with varying tracks, cars and racing surfaces!

Where: Kyoto National Rallycross at our server ZFRL•Events

It is time for our final Kyoto round of the season. As Kyoto ring does not feature an official layout suitable for dirt tyre racing, we had to come up with something special. We will be racing around the infield section of Kyoto National circuit while mostly avoiding the tarmac. This layout was kindly provided to us by Jam 616, big thanks to him and PiranMOTO! We will use a car that should be familiar to every racer: the RB4 GT, a popular TBO class car for rallycross. Come and join us next monday for the race! If you are unable to attend, remember that the race will be livestreamed by Sim Broadcasts on their Twitch and Youtube channels.

All Rounder Championship Round 9 recap
All Rounder Championship Round 9 recap

The results posted above are confirmed as official

The ninth round of All Rounder Championship was a special one: rallycross in Kyoto. As there is no official layout for such an event, we had to use a custom one. A good amount of drivers showed up to race around in the LFS standard RB4 around this 1,5 km track built around the middle part of the oval infield. There were 19 drivers who set a laptime during qualifying and 15 of them took the start.

The fastest of the qualifiers was a newcomer to our series: L. Rydh. He was only 0,15s ahead of Michal, who in turn was only 0,01s ahead of the following drivers MadJester and Thehemuli who had both set the same time. Fifth position on the grid was taken by uNite.

In the first few corners there were some slight bumps and nudges between the cars, but that is a part of rallycross. There were no position changes in top 5 for the first six laps, but at the end of lap seven MadJester hit the wall and lost two places. L. Rydh and Michal started to pull away in the lead, while Thehemuli and uNite fought for third. uNite managed to send a move into turn 1 on lap 13 and made it stick, promoting him to third. After the halfway mark Michal begun to fall of the pace of L. Rydh and uNite started to slowly gain on the second place. On the penultimate lap uNite made a dive into the last hairpin, but came in too hot, hit Michal and spun around handing Thehemuli the third place. L. Rydh takes the win in his debut, Michal is second and Thehemuli completes the podium. uNite takes fourth and RD2 climbs to fifth after starting from 8th.

After three rounds of Kyoto, we have to take a look at the quarterly standings to see who gets to pick the track environment for the final three races of the season. It was close between the top three, as the second and third place drivers scored equal points between three rounds, so it had to be decided by looking at individual round best finishes. Rony won the road tyre race around the oval, so he is second ahead of Thehemuli. But there was one driver who outscored both of them by 7 points and thus got to choose between Aston, Westhill and Rockingham. That driver is uNite, and he picked Aston as our final track environment for the season. The first of the final three rounds will feature road tyres. More info on the combo in the following week, stay tuned!

At the end of the season the top 5 points scoring drivers will be awarded monetary prizes totaling to 150€.
Now is the time for a final push in the standings! Full championship points, quarterly points and statistics can be found in the link below.

All Rounder Championship Round 10 recap
All Rounder Championship Round 10 recap

The results posted above are confirmed as official

Round number ten was the last of the season to feature road tyres. We had 21 laps of Aston North with the standard LFS car LX6. The last two rounds were won by series newcomers, but this time that was not meant to be, even though one of our five newcomers this time managed to lead the race for a while.

Pole position was taken by the winner of last quarter: uNite. He was the only one to post a laptime below 2:10. He was joined on the front row by Arska, while his teammate T. Soini was fourth. The two WCL drivers were wedged by goszki, a newcomer to the series. Fifth palce in the grid was taken by the current second place driver in the championship: Rony.

As soon as the lights turned green, a fierce three-way battle for the lead begun between uNite, Arska and goszki. After the first few laps goszki was in the lead, uNite second and Arska third while Rony and MadJester were battling for fourth. Goszki tried to pull away, but could not match the pace of uNite who made the race winning pass on lap 6, scoring his first win in the series. Arska followed the example and made a pass for second place in the beginning of lap 8 and held on until the end. Goszki faced no further threat from behind and took third place in his debut race. MadJester managed to fend off the late charge of current championship leader Thehemuli. MadJester finished fourth and Thehemuli fifth.

At the end of the season the top 5 points scoring drivers will be awarded monetary prizes totaling to 150€. The points difference between second and fifth place is only 12 points, while there are still two more races to go and try to score big points! All Rounder Championship Round 11 recap
All Rounder Championship Round 11 recap

The results posted above are confirmed as official

For our last slick tyre race of the season we had the Radix P6 mod at Aston Cadet. This combo provided us plenty of action on track, but also proved to be somewhat difficult as out of the 20 qualifiers, only 15 started and 10 of those finished the race.

As the laptimes were well under minute, the qualifying results were really close. Top ten drivers were just under 0.5 seconds apart. Fastest of them was Gábor, who joined the server five minutes before the end of qualifying and took pole position after just four flying laps. Next to him on the front row was Lorenzo, followed by Suforr and jsk on the second row. Series newcomer dod1slaw started from fifth.

At the start Lorenzo launched an attack on Gábor in to the first corner but could not make it past the polesitter. After a slight contact, Gábor managed to create a gap and was unchallenged for the rest of the race. Dod1slaw made good progress on the start and had climbed to third by the end of the first lap and started putting pressure on Lorenzo. A few laps later Lorenzo had to yield as he was starting to struggle with tyre temperatures and pace. This led to him falling down the order and forced him to make a pitstop and ultimately retire from the race. This allowed uNite to take hold third position. Behind him were jsk and Thehemuli who matched eachothers pace for the majority of the race, but Thehemuli managed to sneak past after lap 40. The top 5 seemed to be locked in, until uNite made a pitstop on lap 46 taking on fuel and fresh front tyres. This promoted Thehemuli to third, jsk to fourth and a charging Suforr to fifth who was recovering from a first lap mishap. In the end it was Gábor who took the win and was joined on the podium by dod1slaw and Thehemuli.

With one round to go for the first ever season of All Rounder Champioship, Thehemuli has clinched the title. However the battle for 2nd place is still wide open: only 1 point separates uNite and Rony. Which one of them will take home the silver medal and 40€ prize money opposed to bronze and 25€? Same kind of situation for fourth and fifth place, Maciek leads Motimoukari by 3 points before the final round. Come and join us for the final race of the season on Monday 2nd of December or follow the livestream by Sim Broadcasts on their Twitch and Youtube channels to find out!

All Rounder Championship Round 12 recap

Official race results:

Penalties:
Karolens receives a 15 second time penalty for avoidable collision with a lapping car under blue flag. Karolens was hit by Lorenzo behind, having faster speed approaching the turn than anticipated, but despite the situation missed the braking zone and ran into the back of Thehemuli, causing him to spin.

Our final race of the season was an eventful one, mostly the result of having a bunch of relatively high-powered 4WD cars racing in a narrow dirt track with concrete barriers. Not many cars made it out unscathed as can be seen in the podium photo above.

A total of eighteen drivers set a laptime in qualifying. Fastest of them all was Michal, who scored his first ever ARC pole position being the only driver to do a lap under 57 seconds. Alongside him on the front row was Lorenzo, followed by a pair of Zafiralis drivers on the second row: Motimoukari was third and Thehemuli fourth. Third row was populated by Suforr in fifth and a late joining Unite in sixth.

After the lights turned green, there was no shortage of action for the whole 45 laps. There were multiple position changes already on the first lap, most notably MadJester who had climbed to third after starting from seventh place. Suforr was more on the receiving end of contacts and fell from fifth to ninth. With Michal leading the way fighting closely with Lorenzo on the opening laps, the top six was quite close together. This allowed Unite to sneak past the cars in front one by one, and on lap seven he was already in second place trailing Michal who had opted to use the knobbly variant of tyres instead of hybrids as used by most competitors. This allowed him to pull away in turn exits and hinder the overtake attempts made by Unite for many laps. On lap 20 though, Unite launched a decisive attempt on the inside after the first braking zone towards the hairpin complex and made it stick, he pulled away from the field and was unchallenged for the remaining half of the race, scoring his second win of the season. MadJester was the only one who could match his pace, but his chances of victory were foiled on lap 5 by an unfortunate lag hit and its aftermath while going for a move for the lead, which resulted in him dropping down to ninth place. He kept his head down and made it back to second place by lap 30 and held his position until the end. Second podium finish for him, this one and a win from round 3, both on dirt tyres. Michal had to defend his third position multiple times but was able to pull trough, taking his third podium of the season, all of them scored in dirt tyre rounds also. Lorenzo had an eventful race, going up and down the order many times and always fighting someone. Fourth place for the Italian in the end. Thehemuli had a difficult race, mostly due to his own mistakes, resulting a fifth place finish in the season finale.

This was the end of the first ever Zafiralis All Rounder Championship. A season results post featuring final standings, prizes and other accolades is in the making and should be released some time during next week. As for our plans for next year, you will have to wait until a certain elder gentleman dressed in red is about to start his yearly journey Smile

Final results of the Zafiralis All Rounder Championship 2024
Final results of the Zafiralis All Rounder Championship 2024

All Rounder Championship 2024 season review

The first ever season of Zafiralis All Rounder Championship has come to an end after 12 races over 4 different track environments and it is time to take a closer look at the final standings. Before the season started we set a prize pool totaling 150€ for the top 5 drivers. That combined with the events being livestreamed by Sim Broadcasts caught the attention of many. A total of 97 different drivers took part in the events with 46 of them managing to score points.

2024 All Rounder Champion: Thehemuli
After winning the first round, Thehemuli took the championship lead and never let it go. Scoring another win halfway thourgh the season and a total of 8 podium finishes in 12 races he was on form for the whole year. He stayed consistent and had a steady flow of points across all disciplines; road, slicks and dirt tyre events and made himself worthy of the first ever All Rounder Champion title.

Unite finished second in the championship despite attending only 8 of the 12 rounds. Out of these rounds he managed to score 2 wins and bring in good points from other races too also showing good pace across all the different disciplines. He was also the king of fastest laps this season, scoring four of them in total. What could have been if he were to take part in more rounds? Rony was in the contest for 2nd place all the way up to the final race, but he had to settle for third in the end. He proved his known strength in oval racing by winning the only oval race of the season in round 7. Maciek finds himself fourth after fighting for the position with Motimoukari all season long. His highlight of the season was a podium finish in round 6 with a tricky rallycross combo. Overall a good performance by the Pole. Motimoukari lost the battle for fourth by only 2 points. He can still be happy about his performance this year: three podium finishes, all in different disciplines, show great potential for the future.

Prize money distribution:

1. Thehemuli - 70€
2. Unite - 40€
3. Rony - 25€
4. Maciek - 10€
5. Motimoukari - 5€

Prize money winners will be contacted by us via LFS messages before the end of the year

Other accolades:

In addition to the organizers, three other drivers gave their support to the series by having a high rate of attendance: Rony and Maciek competed and scored points on every round and T. Soini was the only other driver to attend at least 10 of the 12 rounds. Thank you for your continued support towards our events!

Special thanks to Rony again for helping us get started with organizing events and lending his knowledge throughout the season. We could not have done this without you!

Feedback survey:
If you have feedback regarding our events and haven't filled out our survey, we would greatly appreciate if you did.
